Summary: After spending an extra work day at the Ministry, Percy brings home takeaway for a quiet evening with Hermione
Completion: InComplete
Work at the Ministry was still overwhelming that Percy went in on Saturday as Hermione had the responsibility of running her shop. Normally Percy would have stayed home to do some parchment work, then whip up something tasty for dinner but if he could catch up before the following Monday, then next week would run much more smoothly - or so that was his hope.
Their new living arrangement was rather comfortable and Percy had become so accustomed to having Hermione around that he couldn't remember just how he had managed without her. Seeing her every time he came home from the Ministry, or when she came home from Flourish & Blotts seemed to perfect his days. They would sometimes stay up late discussing politics or books - sometimes their relationship, and on the few occasion of the future which almost always centered around them being together.
When Molly had heard that Hermione and Percy were now living together, she had sent them a large basket full of linens and different house hold items, even though Percy had already managed quite nicely with what was already in his house. He supposed it was Molly's way of showing that she approved of the arrangement - not that if she hadn't it would have stopped Percy from inviting Hermione to live with him in the first place. He felt more secure knowing that Hermione wasn't living alone, especially with those bloody books that had popped out of no where and now stuffed somewhere out of sight - for the time being. Percy was wanting to get to the bottom of what exactly those books are.
As Percy tucked a brown paper sack of Chinese takeaway under his arm - bought from a favourite restaurant of his - he had remembered the day Hermione had moved in and they had bought the same Chinese takeaway nearly a month ago. A faint blush suffused his cheeks when he remembered just how exactly that night had ended, and a saucy smirk played upon his lips. As him and Hermione had lied in bed afterwards, Percy had quipped that the takeaway may have been spiced with a lust potion - not that the two of them minded overmuch.
Percy reached home and began to set the table, lighting a few candles and taking out a bottle of chilled white wine when Hermione apparated into the front hallway. He stuck his head out of the kitchen and gave her a wide smile.
"How was your day, beautiful?"
