After chasing a goat out of the pub using a broomstick and a few choice words, Harry made his way through the Hog's Head pub and back to where he felt most comfortable; behind the bar. Not only was there a physical barrier between himself and the patrons, but he also had a good view of the entire pub. His back wasn't towards anyone and with his wand always stowed along the inside of his left forearm in a holder(a birthday gift from several years ago), he felt as safe as he was going to in a crowd of people.
The first weekday Happy Hour was about to commence. He'd been advertising it in a few places for the past couple weeks, and was hoping for a good turn out. Happy Hour was generally a Muggle tradition, but who said borrowing an idea was a bad thing? Business was generally booming on the weekend and even on nights when Quidditch teams practised. It was usually earlier on the weekdays, when some people were still at work or at practice(I.E the first few hours the pub was open) when there was a lull in activity. With the new specials(2-for-1 drinks until 9pm), Harry hoped that more people would come in earlier, and stay later.
Part of his reasoning was that while he did tend to be paranoid, he also enjoyed the company that the wide variety of characters dropping in provided. He liked his privacy, but being around people also kept him from being trapped within his own mind every hour of every day. It allowed him to keep some of his sanity in tact; hearing people's stories, bits and pieces of what was going on in the 'outside world' as he reffered to it(in his own head, at least). He didn't tend to step into the public's eye very often; it had even been a while since he'd attended a charity event. They'd trickled off in the past few years.
The door unlocked and the lights on, Harry went about washing and drying off a few random glasses as he waited for the first patrons to begin wandering in.
