Summary: Pansy gets an old friend in her store

Pansy had just made a very lucrative sale of an enchanted, but perfectly harmless mirror she'd gotten from an estate sale. It let the person in the mirror see themselves as a child in the background - but only on their birthday. The buyer wanted it delivered so she levitated it to the back room to be wrapped up.

Still in the back room, she heard the bell above the door chime and huffily she made her way to the front. "Yes... may I help... ahhh ahahahaha... you!" Pansy recognized Marcus immediately and she had to laugh in the back of her throat. "Now what brings you here I wonder?"

After doing the order sheet for the club which had to be submitted on Monday, Marcus threw down his pen on his desk and moved his head back and forth to ease the strain on his neck. He stretched, his fingertips reaching towards the ceiling and concluded he needed to get the fuck out of the office.

He was bored. He loved his business, but one of the most boring parts of it was paperwork and stock orders.

Barking out a few commands at Garcia on his mobile, Marcus grabbed his wizarding robes and apparated to Diagon Alley, with a thoughtful smirk on his lips. There was on person who generally amused him, and he hadn't paid her a visit since he heard about her taking over a certain business.

Walking through the door to Parkinson & Burkes - of course she would have included her name to the sign - Marcus was disappointed to not find the sultry bitch in sight. However, he wasn't disappointed for long.

Giving her a sexy grin, Marcus sauntered to the counter. "Why Ms. Parkinson. You of course - what other reason would I come here for?"

Pansy laughed, tongue in cheek, and looked over Marcus. She couldn't help it - the 'up and down' was something she always did when she saw someone she either knew or would like to know.

"Oh I don't know, you're either bored or looking for something sparkly to distract you." She smirked and leaned her palms on the counter. "Or both, in which case I think you've come to the right place." Pansy was still surmising Marcus and thinking he had gotten more attractive over the years. "But if you're looking for a mirror to admire yourself in, you're out of luck, I've just sold the best one in the shop."

He knew what she was doing, and she did it like a Persian cat licking her lips at a bowl of cream. Some things didn't change. Marcus remembered well how Pansy watched people even when she was just starting Hogwarts, and before he left her female instincts had begun to blossom. He, unfortunately, was unable to be a part of that. He envied Draco in that respect.

"I'm always ready for a willing distraction, luv," Marcus smirked putting up his hands as if submitting to an accusation. "And lo and behold, I've found a pretty, sparkling young thing to fulfill that."

Marcus tsked and sighed dramatically. "That's a pity. Mirrors are very useful things," he told the brunette with plenty of innuendo.

Pansy had thought it would be a boring day and was very disappointed, until Marcus showed up, obviously with his game face on and a silver tongue to boot. Well let's just see then shall we?

"Oh you are, are you?" Pansy narrowed her eyes at him but didn't lose that interested smirk on her face. "And what makes you think you could afford this sparkling young thing? This is a very high class establishment now I'll have you know." She quietly smiled and moved her fingers along the top of the glass counters. "Nothing but quality here. So if you aren't prepared to spend, and spend dearly..." She shrugged and left the conclusion up to him.

"Yes, they are quite useful. But now I only have smallish ones available, for looking at specific areas." Laughing derisively, she pulled one from out of the display case and held it upwards in her palm, 'accidentally' aiming it towards Marcus' crotch area.

"I have plenty of confidence in what I can and can't afford, kitten," he told her, leaning against the glass counter and eyeing her up and down. "Pansy," Marcus breathed in approval. "You grew up very fine. I'm sure you must be terribly bored of chocolates and flowers that the other wizards send you. Uninventive. Uncreative," he assumed with a pitying glance. "Something tells me you've been craving the finer things in life."

Marcus looked down inside the glass display case as she indicated the small hand mirrors. He arched an eyebrow at her insinuation and laughed. "Perhaps for the likes of Oliver Wood or that Potter-boy, but for me...anything less than six inches would be insufficient," he drawled.

"Good to know. Just as long as you know it." Pansy could feel Marcus' eyes scanning over her, making a playful smile emerge on her face. "Certainly very uncreative - is there no originality left?" She tossed her hair over her shoulder, not even responding to Marcus telling her that she grew up very fine - she knew already. "And what would those finer things be? Jewellery perhaps, or something more rare?"

Tucking the mirror back into the velvet nest that housed it, Pansy made sure she was bent over the glass case long enough to let Marcus .... get his laughter out of his system. She laughed as well though, he clearly got her point. "Well, unfortunately they do still make such small mirrors - but fortunately, I won't accept such tiny things in my shop."

"Would my undivided attention and company count amongst those rarer and finer things?" Marcus enjoyed the little play between him and Pansy. She had a bluntness and bitchiness about her he enjoyed. Pansy was true Slytherin to the bone - ambitious, unrepentant and confident. It was a deadly combination.

"So how is it you've been scuttling around this part of London, escaping my notice for this long?"

"It might. Men are so easily distracted and maybe you've changed over the years? Undivided attention is hard to come by. I think you'd need to prove it." She crossed her arms, batting her eyelashes and leaving an eyebrow raised to show she was serious.

"I've only been here since the beginning of January. I've been in Austria with my father before that." Pansy drummed her fingers on the glass countertop, loving the way her nails clicked on the surface. "And if I've escaped your notice it's because you weren't looking hard enough."

"Now what would you have known of me in past years, kitten?" Marcus smirked, knowing full well that whatever Pansy would have heard would have been through mutual friends and gossip mongers. Or Daphne.

"I have no problems proving anything, Pansy dear," Marcus purred, leaning over the display case far enough to catch the musky rose of her perfume.

"Austria? And how is daddy these days?" he teased, watching her click her long, polished nails on the display glass. He chuckled low and cocked an eyebrow. "My own mistake, I will admit. How can I make it up to you?"

"I haven't known you these past few years. Seems we've all just... gone different ways. But... you're here now, and there's time to get, shall we say, reacquainted?" Not even knowing a lick about if Marcus had changed or not over the years, she decided that she'd draw her own conclusions.

"Well then, I'll just have to think something up? Shouldn't I?" Pansy smiled demurely and gazed at Marcus' neck, studying his posture as he leaned over the counter.

"Daddy is just fine - smoking and drinking leisurely with other Austrian men who have too much time on their hands." She sighed and straighened up, pulling her hand off the counter and inspecting her nails, hoping none of the polish was chipped from clicking them on the glass. Her eyebrow shot up though and she dared smirk at Marcus. "That.. sounded like an invitation to me. I think maybe, you need to come round my flat and tell me what exactly you've been up to.... and then we can see what we could get up to."

It was a veiled invitation of course, it could mean any number of things to Marcus - and that's exactly what Pansy wanted; to keep him guessing.

"It's a bloody shame, isn't it?" Marcus admitted, eyeing the lush, poutiness of Pansy's lips. Licking his own lips, he nodded his head up and down slowly, never losing eye contact with the sultry brunette.

"That's very true, kitten. Seems like the perfect opportunity in my mind," Marcus grinned, then grinned even wider as Pansy began to toy with him back causing his blood to boil even hotter.

"Tsk. I'd say I was envious of the man, but I prefer hard work to leisure these days," he admitted, watching Pansy back away from the glass and examining her nails. With a slow shrug of his shoulders, Marcus righted himself back up straight.

"It could be," he agreed then chuckled when Pansy invited him back to her flat. "You aren't worried about my reputation? I'm quite the scoundrel, so I'm told," Marcus offered cheekily.

"It is a bloody shame." Pansy trailed her fingers on the counter in circles, teasing Marcus shamelessly. "I will let you know when I've thought of something appropriate." Or more likely inappropriate if Pansy had her way.

"Oh really, working hard are you?" Pansy's eyebrow flicked upward in interest when Marcus said he'd been working.

Though Pansy laughed heartily when Marcus questioned her about his reputation. "I think you should be more concerned with me. I can handle more than you think." Pansy purred that last statement out, dripping with innuendo.

"I certainly hope you do. Don't keep me waiting too long though, flower," Marcus said to Pansy as her fingers circled over and over on the glass, her touch light and tantalizing.

Giving the sexy witch one of his sexy grins, Marcus reached into his robes and pulled out a card to his club. "You could say that. Best club in London, flower. You should check it out some night," he offered, holding the card between his fingers for her to pluck. "I promise, you'll have no trouble getting past the velvet rope."

Her laugh was throaty and deep, causing Marcus' veins to pulse. "Is that so? Well then - I'll be sure to bring a bodyguard or two," he winked.

"Why not... anticipation is often more fun than, well, whatever I can cook up." A saucy smirk was still present on Pansy's face - it had been too long since she'd gotten to tease Marcus is such a manner and he seemed to be enjoying it as much as she was.

When he'd given her his card, Pansy looked it over and nodded. "A club hmmm? Maybe I'll stop by and see if it's really all you say it is." She tapped the small card on the glass and said a quiet 'thank you' at his assurance that she'd be admitted to his club.

"It is so. And you might need the bodyguards before but, I prefer one on one activities. The rest will just have to be deprived I'm afraid." Pansy smiled devilishly at Marcus' wink and licked her lips wondering what would happen if she did show up unannounced one night at the club.
