Who Seamus & Fee
What Boredom, time for a drink and some company.
When Friday Night
Where The Lantern
Status In Progress
Rating R [Language, Content, TBD]

Seamus was tired of sitting in his apartment with a proverbial thumb up his ass. Sean was out tinkering with whatever he was getting his hands on, and that was his most common form of entertainment when it came to drinking. The thought of going down the pub was there, though and when Fee decided to offer up her company well how could he refuse? You don't say know to the company of a woman, or one like her.

Assuring the Colts were well concealed in their holsters and out of eye sight even if he did actually have a fully legit license to carry in the state of Illinois. Shrugging on his coat he'd make the trek over to the Lantern which seemed more like ritual than anything else to him. Pushing open the door as he took a glance around before waving to the few faces that he recognized as he made his way over towards the bar now. It was late into the night, though there was still a good enough crowd set in that comprised of all walks of life. He never minded the crowds all too much though, pulling up a stool as he shrugged off the coat and handed it over to the tender to keep in the back.

"Lemme get a pint an Jameson ta start off with." Pulling his cigarette's out from his pocket he tossed them and the black zippo onto the bartop as he hunched over and leaned his elbows to the wood. A glance sideways towards the door, he wasn't sure exactly where Fee was coming from so he didn't expect a showing at any particular time. He'd be here no less.

Fenella was getting antsy and that was never any good for anyone. The last thing anyone wanted was for Fee to be bored and looking for trouble. Trouble meant buildings crumbling and high body counts. She had a fairly good idea about where the Italians hung out so she'd be able to at least lessen the civilian count if it came down to it. Fortunately for Conor, she rarely ever acted without instructed but if he didn't give her something to do and soon, that would change.

Meeting up with Seamus was enough to keep her entertained for the rest of the night though whether or not that involved some sort of violence was yet to be seen. Fingers crossed. Stepping away from her computer, she found a pair of black heels to go with the jeans and white tank she was already wearing. One black leather jacket later and she was heading off toward the pub. She half debated stealing some random car along the way but the night was nice enough and it was a short walk so she'd save that for when she was really bored.

Arriving at The Lantern, she pushed open the door and strolled right on in as if she owned the damn place. Whether or not she was packing was anyone's guess but it was always good to err on the side of caution when it came to her. Smirking when she spotted Seamus, she slid on the stool next to him and made herself at home. "I'll have whatever he's havin'," she said with a nod. "It's good ta be seein' ya," she said as her eyes wandered over him. "Any interestin' stories ta share?"

The one good thing he loved about this place - no shitty fuckin music ever was playing. Most places you go for a drink these days, they had their little digital jukebox with a bunch of dickheads putting in their dollars to play just the shittiest music that could possibly exist. There was none of that here, and it saved him from one nasty headache. Seamus would take a few drinks from his pint as he sat there at the bar, fingers had already plucked a cigarette from the soft pack as it hung lazily between his lips now.

The way he looked at it, is if he was at least in company, there was less possibility of him taking to scrapping with someone...for fun of course. He loved nothing more than to pick a fight here and there and just go at it until someone was beaten to a mess, did it for small money back home just managed to keep with him. Though now-a-days he did his best to keep out of trouble, most of the time.

Glancing upward he'd watch as Fenella walked into The Lantern now, that smirk catching at the edge of his lips as his brow raised curiously at her. Turning his body a bit now so to face her some as he spoke, "Good ta be see'n ya too." It was rare that 'work' had them seeing each other, perhaps more so when his brother was involved as well so his words were actually honest ones. His lips pressed in a fine line for a moment as he thought about anything of interest that had happened for a while now, nothing came up though. Which was half the reason why he was so stir crazy. "Unfortunately na, nothin's been happenin. Anythin with you?"

Fee couldn't say that she was a big fan of American pubs because they generally had shitty liquor. Nothing beat Ireland when it came to getting pissed, that was for certain. But all of that said, Fee had become rather fond of The Lantern. It definitely had an old world feel to it and the booze was the best in town. What more could a girl want now, really? Besides something to fuckin' blow up.

Ahh yes, his brother. Fee much preferred to avoid the other O'Kelly when it came down to it. She tended to get a bit...territorial when it came to work and the last thing she needed was to "accidentally" blow up the competition because she would never do it on purpose. Right. "Right crock of shit that is," she grumbled as the pint was slid over to her. "Conor best be pullin' his head outta his ass or I'm goin' ta go look fer somethin'."

She understood that he was still trying to get his bearings and all but she hadn't spent the past several years helping him prepare to take over for nothing. Now there was retribution to be had and Fee was looking to assist. "Where's the rest of the O'Kelly clan tonight anyway?" she asked as she glanced around. "Thought you and yer brother were tied at the hip." She might have been looking to get a slight rise out of him but she was also slightly concerned that she'd have to go and explode his sister...on accident.

Had his sister any idea that he was here with Fee there is no doubt that she would pitch more than just some flailing fit of sorts. For many reasons, as well. She also knew better though, Seamus had been here for a few years now and made his rootings. Not to mention, that his sister's way of thinking was very different from his own. The little battle that he had no doubt would come to blows between her and Fee, had absolutely nothing to do with him. He didn't take sides on those views, and so he was neutral about the entire thing. Easy enough, for now.

"Take it not much is happen'n on yer end either then." He said through a bit of a chuckle as he ashed his cigarette in the near-by ashtray before he picked up his pint and took a healthy few gulps of the heavy beer. He had never known Conor all that much, but his father Patrick O'Meara he had the pleasure of knowing quite well. The air still hung heavy in the Lantern, and really all around. The man had managed to keep peace, and now this, not just heavy air but heavy hearts as well.

A snicker pressing out from his lips as he glanced over at Fee after she asked about his other halves really. Though he hardly thought she was meaning to include Shannon into that one as well. He left that well and alone. "Around doin' some shit, I'm sure" he shrugged his shoulders a bit as he moved to take a look further around the pub now. A side glance to her as that second comment came to him and he raised a brow at her now. "Not all th'time."

While Fenella would always be loyal to her UVF roots, she could respect Seamus' desire to stay neutral. She had just made the move to the states a few months ago so it was fresh for her still. Seamus had been in The States for quite some time now so it was understandable that he would feel detached. It was part of the reason she didn't try to smother him in his sleep or stab him in a dark alley. His sister, however, well...Fee would be keeping an eye on that one.

She shook her head. "Not a bit of anythin'," she grumbled. "'Cept fer tha...excitement over at that one hotel a couple of weeks back." Oh that could have been so much more than it was but Conor had only wanted to send a message. It was a shame too because she could have reduced that entire building to a pile of rubble in a matter of seconds. Oh well, there was always next time. It wouldn't be her fault if she accidentally miscalculated how much C4 was needed, right? Heh.

"That usually means stealin' my work," she smirked in return. Back in Ireland there wasn't any competition. If they wanted something done right the first time, they came to Fee. Here his damn brother was already established and it rubbed her the wrong way. Fortunately Conor knew of her caliber of work and was afraid of her. For the most part anyway. "That's good ta hear," she winked. She liked him much better when his brother wasn't around. Taking another sip from her pint, she glanced over to him. He wasn't quite as obnoxious as Cameron and she liked that. "I've got a feelin' things are gonna be gettin' interestin' shortly. It's been far too quiet around here."

He'd nod as his fingers moved around the pint before him, bringing it to his lips as he took a few mouthfuls of the liquid and replaced it to the coaster once again. "Aye heard 'bout the hotel" he said with a bit of a grin splashed onto his lips. Seamus was never one to mess around with explosives, just couldn't get into it, wasn't his things. However, he always did love to see a good show of things whenever they were involved. Nothing like a boom to start things off on the right foot.

Seamus couldn't say anything about the work load between two explosive specialists, though he was pretty damn sure a city let alone their family really didn't have enough work for two. He didn't have to worry about competition though, there was never cause for concern on his position he knew his job and he did it well. He'd served men on the FBI's top ten list, but those were just bragging rights, he was also someone they could trust. As did the O'Meara's.

"Things better start pickin' the hell up," he countered with a bit of a sigh. "Gettin shitfaced every night is nice an' all, but it gets borin' -- fast." He knew he had an itchy trigger to begin with, and all this standing around and doing nothing wasn't helping the stir crazy that was beginning to develop. He had a damn good hunch that he wasn't the only one either. "So what makes ya say things are gonna be gettin' interestin?"

You were either born with the touch or you weren't and if you weren't chances are that you'd figure it out after you lost a limb. Fee was definitely gifted when it came to handling explosives and knowing just what it would take to get the desired effect. She had spent years perfecting it and now she was just sitting around waiting to show that talent off. It was a shame really.

Fenella nodded at his words and took another long pull from the pint. Sitting around just waiting for marching orders had never been her strong suit. She was definitely a woman who liked to act first and not really think about it later. That didn't mean that she didn't plan, but doing things on the fly was another specialty of hers. "Might go lookin' fer a brawl before too long," she muttered as she set the glass back down.

"It's too quiet," she said as a matter of explaining. "Tha Italians haven't done shit since tha hotel thing. Ya ask me, they're just biding their time fer somethin' and there's definitely somethin' in tha air that tells me a storm is brewin'." It might not be tomorrow or the next day, but they would be retarded not to try and retaliate before the Irish could hit them again. Although with the way things were going that could be another year. "Just be sure ta be keepin' an eye out fer tha next while. They'll be waitin' fer us ta get comfortable and then they'll strike."

Seamus was a man of action, never one to take to sitting around very much. This didn't suit him all that well at all. "A brawl aye?" he snickered lightly as he nodded his head some. Fingers wrapping around his pint glass as he spoke again, "Ya sound as bored as me, that's fer fuckin sure." He had a good feeling that they weren't the only two looking to get something done either. Patrick's death need not go without some ground being leveled. The greasy whop's needed to pay for what they did.

"Fuck'd if they think I'mma be comfortable at any given point. Not until everyone of them mother fuckers are gutted and sent back home to their mothers, wives, and whoever the fuck else had the misfortune of knowing the filth." His jaw tightened a bit as he thought about it now, the urge to go out and do something irrational was growing. His blood began to heat within his veins and now was a good time to be putting that pint to his lips and taking a few gulps to cool him off again.
