"I'm not sure I'd say we were friends during your first run here, but I certainly wasn't expecting you to leave the way that you did," Arkady said in that same genuine, gentler voice. "But we all make mistakes, and that was certainly a time period rife with them," he admitted, thinking of his own errors in judgment. Of which there may or may not have been damn near thousands to recollect.
"I'll allow you to return, Dracon, but only for new time's sake. Old time's sake holds few fond memories between us, eh?" he asked, arching a thick black brow and offering a wry, small smile. "You've grown up and I like to think I've become a bit more wise and patient in my own age... thirty years can truly change a person quite a bit. We'll see how it's affected you. Would you be opposed to a show in the sideshow tent? I think it'd be a shame to waste your powers as a rigger."
