Rupert leaned against the glass case, watching as the woman showed Fred the rings that she had. He wondered what Fred would pick, considering how many different stones and settings were available. Whatever she wanted, though, he'd get for her - this was her engagement ring.
When she picked one out, he moved over to look, thinking that it was perfect for her when he saw it. He had to hold back a snort at her use of magic to make it fit, but what the saleswoman didn't see wouldn't hurt her. Besides, it meant that they'd be able to take the ring with them then and there instead of waiting.
"I think it's beautiful, love," he told her, kissing her temple. "We'll take it."
Pulling out his wallet, he took care of paying for the ring. As soon as the transaction was completed, the woman handed over the paperwork and the box, and the two of them left the shop. Out on the pavement, Rupert looked up and down the street.
"I rather have a feeling that we're not going to find a DVD and television here," he said, knowing most of the shops were clothing and the like. He led her back to the car park. "Anywhere you know of that we could go?"
