Fred furrowed her brow, wondering what Rupert was talking about. She followed him down to the study and watched him pull the crystal out. She smiled when he said he wanted Ethan to know they were coming after him. Nothing like placing fear in your prey before you caught them. This was going to be a lot of fun, Fred decided.
She moved when he steered her to stand in front of him. Fred stretched her arms out and nodded at his instructions. Closing her eyes, she thought about Ethan, even though doing so made the anger inside of her rise. And the more she thought, the stronger the magic became in the room.
Suddenly, the crystal became hot and Fred opened her eyes. There was a burn mark on the map and she almost started to laugh. It would seem Ethan was closer than she thought he'd be. According to the map, he was merely a block away from Rupert's penthouse. "Not too bright, is he?" she asked.
Fred studied the map again and nodded. "I believe he's living in that light blue townhouse we pass by everyday," she said with a slight nod.
She wrapped her hand around the crystal and thought for a moment. "Do we get him now or wait?' Fred asked. She really wanted to get him now. Fred didn't think she could wait.
