Who: Sunshine and OPEN What: Fixing stuff and other stuff When: Current Where: Pack farm
It was only 70 degrees out, no clouds in the clear blue sky, and a beautiful mild June day in sunny Oregon for anyone stuck working outside, but really Sunshine would rather have been at the beach. It was just warm enough that he had worked up a sweat and a quick dip in the ocean sounded like a really good idea. Too bad he wasn't anywhere near the Pacific, it was a good two hour drive away. Of course there were rivers and streams and ponds closer, but nothing could compare to swimming in the ocean and the salt smell of its air. Maybe tomorrow he could make it out there, heck, maybe he could tonight if he finished up the maintenance he had promised Tabitha he would see to early enough. Or maybe not, maybe he'd go find a cool beer to help him cool down instead.
He killed the ignition and jumped down from the tractor, patting the machine on its fender like someone would pet a dog. Shine didn't mind the work, he was happy to help the pack out in whatever little way he could. He wasn't particularly fierce or brave like some of the other wolves, but every one in their family had a place and a job and a way to contribute and this was his. There were a lot of vehicles to see to anyway, especially around the farm.
Wiping his hands on a rag and grabbing his toolbox, he hummed to himself as he went to check over the truck parked near the house, wondering if he could fit in a tune-up before it got dark.
