Who: Ian and OPEN What: Watching for Johnny When: Current Where: Woods near McKinley University Warning: Sexual content
It was a good thing Ian had a few days off of work; he hadn't been able to concentrate anyway. Even though he didn't need to be, he was in the woods anyway-- not to work, just to watch. Hunter would probably be disappointed to find his Beta stalking the stupid school full of its equally stupid humans, but every day he had been drawn back toward it, though he would never allow himself be seen. In the woods, Ian was a shadow, he knew the hidden places that let him move like a ghost and daily he padded along a route that brought him through the trees to the edge of the university's grounds.
Ian told himself he was only keeping his people safe. He told himself that he was making sure Wselfwulf and that pack of monsters weren't intruding on their territory. He told himself that he was just checking up on the pup, making sure he was safe, making sure he was being good, but really Ian knew that he was just looking for a glimpse of golden blond hair and a hint of the irresistible scent that haunted him still.
No probably about it. Hunter would definitely be disappointed in him. His interest in the pup hasn't waned at all. Ian should probably feel worse about that then he actually did. He loved Hunter, more than anyone else, so the thought of his anger and disappointment was a hard stone to swallow. He was more than Ian's alpha, he was his friend and his family, and he was the measure by which Ian understood strength and honor and loyalty; but that did nothing to change the fact that the Beta would never be as human as his Alpha wanted him to be and it did nothing to stop the gnawing desire the damn pup had lit inside the older wolf. Though, it was probably why Ian had restrained himself from doing anything more than watching, the grey wolf a quiet guardian at the woods' edge.
