UK Evangelism - Dominionist links?

LJ-SEC: (ORIGINALLY POSTED BY [info]sheepybunbuns)

I don't have much experience investigating Dominionist links, but a news item on the radio this morning inspired me to search on the UK Evangelical group Reform. As a result, I've come across this list of Evangelical and Fundamentalist groups in the Church of England:

- Reform http://www.reform.org.uk (I could find very little in the way of links or outside associations here - but I might be overlooking something. Reform is linked to by the other groups though, and apparently all their literature carries their mission statement: "our overall aim is to win the nation for Christ")

- Church Society http://www.churchsociety.org/ (There are a few links on this site to US and AU sites that I don't recognise)

- Anglican Mainstream http://www.anglican-mainstream.net/ (Lots of links here, including one to the American Family Association, which I've previously encountered through this LJ community. It also links to http://www.famyouth.org.uk/index.php which claims to treat the US abstinence-only tactic as a 'learning opportunity for the UK" - in short, they say that "teenagers should not be denied information about the risks associated with using contraceptives or condoms" but reading further it is clear that they mean to provide lots of 'fact's regarding failure rates and disease transmission, i.e. scare tactics, alongside abstinence promotion.)

- Christian Institute http://www.christian.org.uk/home.htm (I've heard of these before but have never tied them into Dominionist behaviour.
On their site, they openly state that they stand for:
"...commitment to freedom for, not freedom from religion. No state can be neutral in terms of morality or religion. When a state has a majority who claim allegiance to one religion, it may not enforce that one religious belief. There will, however, inevitably be a privileging of that religion at certain public ceremonies such as thanksgivings, funerals of public figures, and rituals and prayers at the beginning of Parliaments. Also it will be privileged in education, while ensuring optouts for those of other faiths and none. There must be freedom for minority faiths and philosophies except where these plainly transgress the moral law."
and that:
"Governments are vital for civilisation. The rule of law is the basis of order and civilisation. Authorities are instituted by God for the good of everyone to restrain evil."

I've also found a link for Church of England Evangelical Council - http://www.ceec.info/ - after browsing through the site this description made me twitch: "a federation of Anglican Evangelical Agencies who realise that their voices carry more weight when they speak together"

I'm not sure whether any of these fall under the Dominionist banner, and so I'd really appreciate your opinions on this.

Thanks
xxx
