LJ-SEC: (ORIGINALLY POSTED BY dagoski) Since folks are probably intrigued by USA article describing how Americans believe in four distinct gods, I thought I'd post a pointer to the report cited in article, entitled American Piety in the 21st Century: New Insights to the Depths and Complexity of Religion in the U.S.  I haven't had time to read the the whole thing, I just glanced at the survey questions to see how they gathered the data.  The survey is very interesting in its own right andthe methods and conclusions deserve a very close read.  This is a large PDF file so low bandwidth people may need to get up for a cup of coffee.
