Does anybody remember the Accelerated Reader program from grammar school? It's a program where the student gets to pick any book from a list of approved books (Here's an example), they go through different reading levels, and you test on the computer to see how much you "absorbed" from the book, and you get different points for different levels and how many you got right. Then, at least at my schools, we got prizes based on how many points we earned.

I heard about this on the radio today, so I thought I'd check it out and see what was up. Here's what I found.

Okay, so maybe this is posted in the wrong community, but I felt like bringing it up since we do a lot of chatting about the dominionists and all, play devil's advocate a bit. I'm not commenting on this, I'm gonna leave that up to y'all. Just thought I'd share. ;)
