Grand Old Perverts

"If the Republicans are reduced to arguing 'the Democrats are just as bad," then the republicans have lost, what they thought of as the moral high ground that they've built their party on for the last 15 or 20 years." ~Dr. James Dobson

More on the military chaplain ruling

Jews On First, an activist Jewish site promoting separation of church and state, has an entire page of articles and links that explore this subject at length.

Congress just flipped their ban on sectarian prayer, and now allows overt sectarian prayer (praying in Jesus name, specifically) in public venues, along with aggressive evangelicism and other coercive tactics by military chaplains. This totally negates the neutrality and support that once made the chaplain corps an advocate for military personnel. Now, people who are 'unchurched' will be targeted by aggressive evangelical chaplains, and the harassment will again escalate within the ranks.

Westbor Baptist Church to Picket Amish Funerals

The Westboro group says the Amish school girls were "killed by a madman in punishment for Gov. Ed Rendell's blasphemous sins against Westboro Baptist Church.

"Gov. Ed Rendell -- speaking and acting in his official capacity to bind the State of Pennsylvania -- slandered and mocked and ridiculed and condemned Westboro Baptist Church on national Fox TV," the group says on its website.

"Rendell also revealed a conspiracy to employ the State's police powers to destroy WBC in order to silence WBC's Gospel message. Co-conspirators identified by Rendell included state officials, citizens, lawyers, legislators and media," the website says.

Westboro Baptist Church said it is "continuing to pray for even worse punishment upon Pennsylvania."

These are some sick sick sick fuckers.
