Subject: Greetings from France
Salut ! (Don't worry, I won't write everything in French.)
How's Dalton without the majority of its students? Quieter, I guess. But is it boringly quiet or restfully quiet ? In any case, the word doesn't apply to my island. Tourists everywhere. Good for the shopkeepers, not so much for the residents. But I won't complain (at least not too much) because it's great to be here with the two people who count most for me and the ocean just about two dozen steps from my house.
You really can't escape that summer program for a week or two, can you? I would gladly invite you here if you could. Your professional skills might even be of some use. Not that there's a real problem. I don't think anymore that Marine and Jordan might have been happier without me (they completely convinced me they were happy to have me back within the first seconds of my arrival) but they
are a little different - much more "coupley" than before - and it's rather disturbing. Also, I got an email from my brother, who asks if I can go to see him in Paris soon. And I don't know if you remember me telling you that but he and I haven't been on the best of terms in the past few years so I wonder why he suddenly wants to see me. Is it sad that I suspect he needs some kind of help instead of hoping he just thinks we should try to reconcile?
I hope everything's okay for you.
Amicalement,
Raphaël
