Dalton Academy for Boys - a Glee RPG

Summer school already sucked, but not even getting to leave for a major national holiday was the total pits. Most of the other guys had gone home for the day, for barbeque and fireworks and probably a lot of alcohol, but the most Liam had done was slept in and read an email from his dad. He'd also walked to the convenience store in town and bought a handful of fireworks, but it seemed a little lame to celebrate the 4th by himself. Even if they were just bottle rockets and roman candles. So he was currently on a hunt. Surely SOMEONE else had stayed behind for the holiday, right? He was this close to giving up when he saw a light coming from under a door down the hall. Adam's room. Finally. Without hesitation he moved towards the door and let himself in, not even bothering to knock.

"Happy 4th of July," Liam said first thing. "Do you want to light some fireworks with me?"

Raf had orderd several pizzas for all of them (Supreme, Meat Lovers, Veggie, Hawaiian, Pepperoni, Sausage, Cheese and Margherita), stocked his mini fridge with cans of Coke and grabbed some extra snacks in case the pizzas took too long arriving. As it turned out, they arrived right on time and by the time he got back to his room with armfuls of pizza boxes, it was right about time for the other boys to arrive. After setting the boxes down on his now cleared desk, alongside a stack of paper plates and napkins, he kicked his shoes off, sat cross legged on his bed and waited for everyone to arrive.

Liam had been about half an hour late to the group; he'd had every intention of showing up on time, but then he'd started a videogame and five minutes turned into an hour and the next thing he knew he was sprinting down the hallway, Bible in hand.

Which meant that he was a little winded when he walked through the door, his tie messy and loose, but he flashed an apologetic smile and joined the circle of chairs for what was left of the meeting. He didn't usually talk a lot during these things; he preferred to listen, and besides, he didn't agree with everything that was said. But it was one of the only times he actually felt comfortable discussing his faith on campus, which was why he showed up. After the meeting, when they'd finished in prayer and all that, and guys were starting to disperse, Liam approached one of the familiar faces - he wasn't all that tight with Benji, but he liked him and respected him - and tapped him on the shoulder.

"Hey, uh, Benji?" he asked, sort of awkwardly shifting from one foot to the other. He'd been putting this conversation off, but. Well. He figured it was about time they had it. "Do you think we could talk?"

Liam had always been an early riser. This morning he'd considered getting up and going to church, but his bed was too comfy and it was cold outside so he hadn't. Instead he'd laid around and played videogames (on silent, careful not to wake Bishop) until 9:30, at which time he'd decided it was late enough in the day to visit Caleb. He wasn't good at being patient.

He didn't bother changing out of his flannel pajama pants, though he did pull on a fresh tshirt. The journey was only one room over, after all. He happened to pass Thomas on his way out of the room, so the door was unlocked. He didn't even consider knocking; he figured he and Caleb were beyond that point now. There was a chance Caleb was still sleeping - he had no idea what time he'd gotten in from the club last night, but it was probably late. But what better wakeup call than a visit from Liam? He was practically doing him a favor. "Good moooorning," he called out as he entered the room, grinning widely.

Subject: Getting to know yooouuu

Hi guys, your friendly neighbourhood RA here :P

Since we've had a few new guys joining us at Dalton recently and school's been kind of hectic, I was wondering if you guys felt like having a welcome/settle in/chill out get together. Nothing scary, we just pile into my room (or possibly somewhere with a bit more room), I'll order us some pizzas and we can, well, get to know each other. We share a bathroom after all, might as well take some time to hang out a bit and know each other as more than "that guy who lives down the hall".

Anyway let me know if you'd be interested. I'm not going to drag you in kicking and screaming but I thought it might be fun.

No one had told Liam that he'd be getting a new roommate. Either he'd gone too long without checking his email or one of the administrators straight up forgot to inform him; either way, coming back to school after a long winter break, he was expecting to find his room exactly the way he'd left it.

That wasn't what he found, though. First off, the door was unlocked - which, he was pretty sure he'd double-checked that before he left. So that was weird. Secondly, when he swung the door open, he ran into a cardboard box that had been left on the ground. And there were multiple other cardboard boxes still waiting to be unpacked. The bed that was once empty now had sheets and blankets. The dresser had been dragged to a new location. He was blinking in surprise at all of these changes - seriously, a little warning would've been nice - before he recognized the other new addition to the room, which was a person. A dude. Clearly his new roommate. "Oh," he said, when it had fully registered. He was still standing awkwardly in the doorway, backpack over his shoulders, duffel bag in hand. "Uh. Hey. I didn't realize... Are you new?"
