Who: Ben M and Noah
What: swimming and speedos and stress relief.
Where: the pool.
When: 2 pm, saturday afternoon.
Rating: eventually NSFW (!)
Noah had been about five seconds away from texting Ben and bailing on him this morning. The workout they'd agreed on wasn't mandatory, and he hadn't gotten any sleep the night before - it was kind of difficult to get a full night's rest when he was stuck in the lobby of their dorm on shitty foldout chairs. He could've gone to someone else's room after he'd stormed out of his own, sure, but that would've prompted questions, questions that he wasn't up to answering. Or thinking about. And thanks to Blaine, he didn't even have any Vicodin to take his mind off the matter.
In the end, he showed up to the pool as scheduled because he had an excess of energy that he needed to get rid of somehow. He'd learned from Colby that physical exhaustion was the best way to keep your mind occupied, and he really did go all out in the water, swimming just as hard as if they were actually competing. When they'd finally finished, he climbed out of the pool and reached for a towel, breathing hard.
"Damn, Ben," Noah said, pushing his wet hair away from his face and elbowing him lightly in the side. "I think you just about killed me."
