Who: Addison and Thomas
What: Bumping into each other... and then conversation?

Thomas could be a little careless sometimes. Alright, he was a bit careless a lot. It was difficult to pay attention and struggle with his bag at the same time, alright? But it would be a waste of time to go sit down somewhere and put his water bottle away like that. And he didn´t like wasting time. There was too little of it and it would be shame to spent it trying to be careful.

He was on his way from the class that just ended towards the front door of the Reid Hall and then, eventually, to the Dalton Hall. Headed to the cafeteria for a lunch or perhaps just to the store to grab a candy bar or something. He hasn´t fully decided yet how he was spending his lunch break yet.

However, what had definitely not been on the to-do list was bumping into a fellow student in the corridor. But since he had been struggling to put his bottle away and not paying much attention to where he was going, it happened anyway. It was not much of a collision, but it still happened.

"Uh, sorry!" he gasped, turning his eyes to look at the other boy. His expression relaxed a little when he recognized him, a fellow Sophomore with whom he shared a few classes. "Sorry about that," he repeated, smiling sheepishly. "I wasn´t looking where I was going."

Addison was just as distracted, if not more. His talk with Harris on Friday had greatly shaken him and he was still tired from getting just enough sleep over the weekend to prevent him from being a zombie. Although he was on his medication, Addison's mind still tended to wander, which was why when he bumped into someone, it caught him by surprise.

He looked up at the mystery person and instantly recognized him "Hey, you're...Thomas, right? We're in a couple classes together."

Thomas nodded enthusiastically. It was always nice when people recognized him, though he wasn´t sure why exactly he liked that. "Yep, that´s me. We share... Algebra, I´m pretty sure." It was his first class and so early in the morning he had to engage in people watching in order to not fall asleep. "And a few more. The name´s... Addison?" he guessed. He wasn´t the best with names, but this was an interesting one that somehow stuck in mind.

	Addison gave a curt nod. "Yep, that's me," he confirmed, letting a slight smile settle on his lips. "Yeah, I remember you from Algebra...it sucks, doesn't it?" Math had never been a strong point for Addison. Then again, school in general never was much of a strongpoint. "So, where are you heading off to?" he questioned, curiosity getting the best of him. "So much," Thomas said with a small groan of frustration just at the thought of math. Numbers meant little to nothing to him, it was kind of a torture. "Especially in the early morning. Who thought school before 11am was a good idea?"

At the question he shrugged a little. "To get some sort of lunch, though I can´t decide if I´m hungry for the cafeteria or if I just want something quick... Either way, Reid Hall. You?"

	Thomas could only agree with that. "Well, that someone most certainly didn´t want us to learn anything. I mean, who´s supposed to concentrate on anything at 8am?" 	Addison tried not to look surprised. He didn't have too many friends at Dalton, and it wasn't like it was every day that he was invited to sit with someone at lunch. "Sounds like a plan," Addison smiled and nodded, ready to follow Thomas to the cafeteria. (Reply to this) (Parent) (Thread)

Thomas enjoyed the company of people, most people, any people. He wasn´t exactly sure what kind of a person Addison was just yet, but that was what conversation was for, wasn´t it? "Great," he said happily, leading the other boy towards the Dalton Hall. His decision now made, he headed for the cafeteria, quite looking forward to the lunch.

"So, what are you having?" he asked when they reached the line. It wasn´t the best conversation starter ever, but it would hopefully work just well enough for now.

	Addison walked down to the cafeteria with Thomas, getting a good look at all the food options once they got inside. "Hmm, I don't know. I don't know if I completely trust cafeteria food," he admitted, a grin on his face. "Then again, it's kind of all we have, and I have died yet, so...maybe they're not trying to poison us." 	Thomas laughed. "Yeah, I haven´t had a food poisoning since before Freshman year so I think it´s safe to say it´s probably edible. I´m not saying it´s a culinary miracle or anything," he said, dropping his voice enough so that the woman behind the counter would not overhear. "I think I´ll just have a sandwich... "Sounds innocent enough," Addison agreed. The sandwiches at least looked presentable. Then again, they were slightly over-reacting. It wasn't like Dalton served mystery meat or anything like that. He himself decided on a turkey and cheese sandwich with pudding on the side. "I'm pretty hungry, I think I can risk potentially getting poisoned, " he joked with a wink.

	Perhaps they were overreacting, but it was fun to do so. Entertainment in any form was always welcome. "I´ll take food poisoning over starving to death any day," Thomas agreed with a laugh as they moved in the queue. (Reply to this) (Parent) (Thread)

"Both seem really uncomfortable, but at least when you're poisoned, you can go out knowing you had a full stomach," Addison pointed out, then glanced at the food thoughtfully. "Or, at least, you did until the food poisoning made you upchuck everywhere." He crinkled his nose in disgust at his own words.

"I really should not be talking about that kind of stuff at lunch time. Sorry about that, I hope I didn't make you lose your appetite."

	"Wow, you have a strong stomach, my friend," Addison complimented with a smile. "But I'll change the topic," he continued, thinking of a quick subject change. "How about cupcakes? 	"You think this school is cool enough to have some?" Addison questioned, a hopeful tone to his voice. Cupcakes were pretty much his favorite food of all time, so he would never pass up the opportunity to have some...or at least, to find some in the school cafeteria. (Reply to this) (Parent)
