As the Warblers came in to the second-to-last Warbler meeting of the year, Blaine passed out ballots. "You have to return these to me before I let you have the snacks!" he warned them.

Colby did no such thing, however. He grabbed his snacks long before he grabbed the ballots, and as he filled them out he nibbled at his food. He wasn't planning on staying long; with Luke waiting for him, how could Colby want to wait? Ever since they had locked crotches and swapped gravy, Colby found himself wanting to be with Luke even more. Enough so that he barely spent time in Aaron's room and had all but moved in to Luke's.

He did have to stay here for a bit though. Long enough that Blaine and Noah wouldn't get upset. They were already on such shaky ground and Colby didn't want to be the one to disrupt that. Everyone was so keen on graduating as friends. Colby could handle that. It just meant he had to be more careful with his actions.

After dropping his ballet off, Colby grabbed some more snacks and plopped back down on the couch.

"Oh?" Colby asked, tilting his head back so he could look at Blaine with an amused smirk. Just to taunt the other boy further, Colby took another bite of his stolen snack. "And what sort of drastic measures would those be? The good kind, right?"

As if there were any other sort. Maybe now, with the light flirting, Blaine would get off of Luke's back about being "abusive."

	"You wouldn't!" Colby gasped. Taking his maple syrup from him was like removing his left nut: cruel and unnecessary. He pouted and then yanked Blaine closer until the other boy was in his lap. Ben accepted his ballot from Blaine with a smile, moving to sit at one of the tables. As soon as he was settled, he chanced a look around the room and brought the end of the pen up to his mouth. Chewing on it lightly, he let his gaze linger on several people before he sighed and returned his eyes to the paper in front of him. It sucked only having one vote but he was going to try and be as unbiased as possible.

Noah already knew who he was voting for. There no was no deliberation, no need to sit and ponder. As such, he scrawled Benji's name and passed the ballot to Blaine before grabbing a big handful of Twizzlers and carrying them over to where Ben was seated. Instead of sitting beside him, though, he sat down right in his lap, looping an arm around Ben's neck. "So who you voting for?" he asked, not bothering to keep his voice down.

Feeling a weight on his legs, Ben looked up to see Noah and he smiled. It was still nice to be able to do this, even if his knees would probably have gone dead by the end of it. "Ballots are secret," he whispered none too quietly, grinning up as his friend as he set the tip of the pen down on the paper. Really, he was still unsure but he was glad that Noah was here now to stall him adn give him a bit more time.

"Oh," Noah said, "I voted for Benji." Rules were beneath him, obviously. He didn't care who heard. "I was torn between him and Raf but I figured he'd be a shoo-in and didn't need my vote."

He bit off half a Twizzler and then offered the rest to Ben, shifting a little so that he wasn't resting all of his weight on Ben's legs, but not getting off either. "Want some?"

Rolling his eyes at his friend, Ben sighed. So much for anonymity. He did see Noah's point though. Raf had campaigned hard for his spot on the council and he was generally well liked by the group. He was clearly passionate about the Warblers and Ben didn't blame Noah for believing that Raf already had a place.

Eying the Twizzler apprehensively, Ben leaned in and bit off a small chunk from the end before giving his friend a grateful smile. "Thanks, Nono," he said, his eyes returning to the paper as he carefully began to write.

"No problemo." Noah sat back a little to give Ben room to write. No need to crowd him. He didn't bother peeking at the ballot, either; unless Ben were voting for Jack, nothing he could do would surprise him.

Glancing around the room, at all of his fellow Warblers, he let out a soft sigh. Not that he was getting sentimental. Of course not. He was a man. But he was going to miss this. "Fucking weird," he said. "This being our last meeting, I mean. Do you think you'll do anything with singing in college?"

Ben continued writing as Noah spoke. He paused mid-way through a sentence at the statement though, also looking up and frowning as he peered around. "It is weird," he confessed quietly, his eyes lingering on several different faces. God, he was going to miss this. All of it.

"I don't know," he confessed a moment later as he returned to writing. He hadn't really thought much about what he was going to do once he got to college. "I suppose I'll see how much other stuff I have to do before making any decisions." Turning his eyes back to the ballot, he finished what he was writing before setting his pen down and sighing. Now that he was done, he waved his paper in front of Noah. "Go and give that to Blaine, please?"

"Gentleman, if I may have your attention! Wes, David, Jack, man the chalkboard!" Blaine stood up about half an hour in, holding the stack of ballots and sweeping his arm toward the chalkboard where all the potential candidates for council next year were listed. "As I read the names, make tick marks!

"Raf, Mocchi, and Aaron!
"Ron, Mocchi, and Aaron!
"Raf, Ron, and Kurt!
"Raf, Ron, and Mocchi!
"Raf, Ron, and Toby!
"Jack, Raf, and Mocchi!
"Raf, Ron, and Benji!
"Jack, Benji, and Raf!
"Mocchi, Ron, and Raf!
"Ron, Benji, and Aaron!
"Ron, Raf, and Benji!
"Bendy, Raf, Raf, Ron, Bendy, and Aaron!"

Blaine flipped through the captain ballots quickly and gave a little nod. "Your new captain will be announced tomorrow. Tonight, unless one is chosen as captain, your 2011-12 Warbler council will be..." A quick scan of the votes, and Blaine grinned. "Raf, Ron, and Bendy! Congratulations, boys! Mocchi, if one of these three is made captain, you will be on the council!"

Having heard the announcement, Ron blinked in confusion. Has he really just been voted on the council? He, the awkward, strange Sophomore (well, Junior for next year)? Were these things not supposed to be some sort of popularity contest?

But he did receive quite a few votes, did he not? Nine, if he had counted right.

And as much as he was claiming he was not interested in the position on the council (and as much as he was not expecting one in the first place)... No, it did not feel good. Not yet.

He was too confused just yet, but maybe it would feel as a reward once it started to feel like reality. Or maybe he would have a panic attack at the idea of a position that required social skills and the stress it would inevitably bring.

He was not quite certain yet.

Raf had been quite literally on the edge of his seat, wringing his hands as he watched each vote get marked on the board. He knew he was almost shivering in anticipation every time he got a vote and before he knew it, Blaine was announcing him as a council member. With Ron and Benji, none the less.

He pushed himself up off the seat, already grinning, and flung himself at a stunned looking Ron.

"We're on the council!" he cried, unnecessarily. "This is awesome! Next year will be so much fun!"

The sudden impact and Raf´s arms around him startled Ron a little, interrupting his train of thoughts. Wrapping one arm around his friend a little awkwardly, he muttered: "Congratulations, Raf." He knew that Raphael had wanted the position, very much deserve it and would do great. Raf´s excitement made him smile a little, but he could not help himself but correct him. "It seems we are. I am afraid it is not supposed to be fun, however, but a responsibility."

"If you say so," Ron shrugged, smoothing down his shirt. He was not certain about the fun part. But what he could agree on was them being a good team. The fact was, they already were a good team. He just needed to persuade himself that he was actually good for this job. At least nine people seemed to assume he was. That had to count for something... "I think we will."
