Who: Toby and Tak
What: Japanese ‘Oral’ Final (LMAO)
When: Whenever their finalz are
Where: Japanese Class
Rating: SFW (Not safe from sexy singing and dancing)
When Sensei-Colt had given the assignment for an Oral final, Tak’s mind had jumped straight to a dirty joke. Really? With a school full of boys? How had he not expected a room full of snickering when the announcement had been made. Being paired with Toby had made the choice of how they would present the final very easy. After all, how often did Tak get to goof off in class and get a grade for it?
Toby was happy to have been paired with Tak. He kind of knew all of the other boys in their class, but he definitely knew Tak the best. And he knew Tak was probably the only one to agree to singing for their final. Sensei-Colt would love it, anyways and wouldn’t have to listen to Toby stumble over his not-memorized lines like usual, so it was pretty much a win-win. So Toby sat down next to Tak at the bgnning of their final and was just waiting eagerly to be called on by Colt-sensei to present.
A grin had crawled across Tak’s face when Toby sat next to him, the action was soon followed by the blonde making a silly face and wiggling his eyebrows at Toby. This was going to be fun, and if Tak was sure they were up soon enough. His leg shook his place as he tried to contain his assignment. He turned his head slightly to talk to his partner but not really draw attention away from the pair that currently had the floor. “You as excited as I am?”
Toby giggled when Tak started making faces at him. Which normally would’ve earned him a pretty nasty glare from sensei, but since the skits were going on, he just got a curious glance from his fellow classmates. Toby wasn’t even able to really pay attention to the other groups’ skits he was so excited. “Fuck yes! I really hope we get called soon... but that probaly means we won’t get called foreverrrr...” Toby whispered back. “We’re totally gonna blow everyone else out of the water, though.”
Tak chuckled at Toby’s reply, clapping when the skit finally came to the close. It hadn’t been that bad of geisha performance, except for the fact that it was a group of boys. How they had voted who to dress up Tak would never know. He perked up a little as sensei looked down at the list, his eyebrow raising a little.
“Abaron-san and Uine-san.”
Maybe Tak’s reaction should have been a little more restrained but at the sound of his and Toby’s names being called, he shot up from his seat fist pumping the air. “Yes!”
That one, earned him a glare from the boy still in his geisha costume.
Toby jumped up at nearly the same time as Tak, choosing to rush the CD player that had been provided by sensei. Ignoring the glares from the dude-geishas, Toby began moving empty desks together to make a kind of very unstable and unlevel stage. Such were the hazards of life, though. He jumped up onto the impromptu stage and waited anxiously for Tak to join him.
Tak grinned widely as Toby rushed the CD player, choosing to go to the board as he pushed the desks together to write their names on the board. Throwing the markers into the trey he quickly climbed onto the makeshift stage and grinned at his partner. He was so ready for this.
“For our final, we decided to do something a little different.”
Toby leaned over the side of the desks to turn on the CD player. Their track started up and the pair commenced with the carefully choreographed-for-desks song and dance number.
“Nazonazo mitai ni chikyuugi wo tokiakashitara, Minna de doko made mo ikeru ne. Wakuwaku shitai to negainagara sugoshitetara .Kanaete kureta no wa dare na no
Jikan no hate made boooon!
WAAPU de RUUPU na kono omoi wa
Nanimou kamou makikonda sozou de asobou!”
Tak had to admit, of all of his friends he never thought he’d be singing a Japanese duet with Toby. He smiled as he sang and danced along with the other boy, even if he hadn’t expected this to ever happen it was a good chance to perform and boy could Toby put on show. It was amusing to see him away from the other Warblers and singing in another language to boot.
“aru hareta hi no koto mahou ijou no yukai ga! kagirinaku furisosogu fukanou jyanai no?
ashita mata au toki waratteru hyoujou de -- jouhoutachi atsumeyou kantan nan dayo konna no!
oikaketara tsukamaeru no yo ooki na yume yume nagamete~ ”
Toby totally didn’t know what half of these lyrics meant, but they were totally kicking ass at skits, right now, so he didn’t care. He switched places with Tak and continued to sing:
“Iroiro yosou ga dekisou de dekinai mirai sore demo hitotsu dake wakaru yo. Kirakira hikatte atsui kumo no ue wo kazaru hoshitachi ga kibou wo kureru to
Jikan ni norou yo byuuuuun! Chi-pu de ku-ru na toshigoro da mon samishigaccha hazukashii yo nante ne iwasete..
Te to te wo tsunaidara mukau toko muteki desho. Kagayaita hitomi ni wa fukanou ga nai no ue dake miteiruto namida mo kawaichau. "Kawaritai!" Kokoro kara tsuyoku omou hodo tsutawaru Hashiridasu yo ushiro no hitomo oide yo
Dokidoki suru deshou?”
“Boooon!! WARP de LOOP na kono omoi wa! nanimokamo wo makikonda souzou de kowasou aru hareta hi no kotomahou ijou no yukai ga.
kagirinaku furisosogu fukanou jyanai no? ashita mata au toki waratteru hyoujou de
jouhoutachi atsumeyou kantan nan dayo konna no oikaketara tsukamaeru no yo
ooki na yume yume hoshii wa! ”
Tak found himself back to back with Toby at the end of the song. A wide grin on his face as he held his left hand out in a peace sign, chuckling as Toby mirrored him perfectly. By the look on their classmates faces Tak gathered they’d done one hell of a job.
