Who: Evan & Ron
What: Being adorable in NYC
Where: Central Park
When: Evening, May 15th
Rating: SFW

At that moment in time, everything felt oddly perfect. Not exactly in the terms of movie-like disbelief but Evan felt the happiest he thought he ever had. He was in New York for the first time, a city that had most definitely stolen his heart. After being there for only a few days, he could already see himself spending the rest of forever there. The reason why he was there in the first place, the Warblers, had gone out and kicked some serious ass, meaning that they'd won their National title. Everyone around him seemed to be on cloud nine, and that included his boyfriend.

After the results had been announced and things had started to settle down a little (not much but enough), Evan had suggested that he and Ron take some time away from everyone else. There was still a lot of the city that he hadn't seen and really, there was nobody else he wanted to share it with than Ron. So they'd departed the hotel and travelled to one corner of Central Park, stopping for a pretzel on the way. After all, they were in a city filled with food and Evan was eager to try everything.

Walking into the park with one arm looped around Ron's, Evan grinned as he broke off another piece of the large pretzel in his hand. "It's amazing, huh?" he commented, looking around before smiling at the boy beside him.

"Always?" Evan asked, returning Ron's look with a cheeky one of his own, "Even in the mornings when my hair looks like I've stuck a fork in the toaster?"

That made Ron chuckle. He nodded, though. "Even then. It is actually quite adorable." He kissed Evan´s cheek once again, running his fingers through the other boy´s hair shortly as he did so. "As much as I like New York, I miss you being the first person I see in the morning." Immediately after finishing the sentence he could feel his cheeks turn redder. He was way too honest in the mood he was in, and soppy.

Rolling his head into the touch to his hair, Evan laughed to himself. "Yeah, I get the same feeling," he confessed, although his cheeks didn't turn red at all. "As handsome as Tak is, he's no Ronald Martin."

Things went silent then, in the quiet and peaceful way that wasn't awkward at all. Evan continued to et his pretzel, content to be walking side-by-side so closely with his boyfriend. It didn't take him long to finish and when he did, he turned his head to look at the other boy again. "Do you like New York?" he asked curiously. After all, if he was planning on moving to the city after graduation, he wanted to know if Ron would be with him or not.

Ron was grateful that Evan did not find his confession too soppy and even felt the same way. "Leonard is no Evander Olson either."

He nodded as an answer to the question, looking around and then smiling at Evan once again. "I really do. I wish I would have seen more of it, but either way I will have fond memories of it."

Unlooping his arm from Ron's, Evan moved so that he was walking backwards. Taking his boyfriend's hands in his own, he practically beamed at him. "I love it here," he confessed, not taking his eyes away from Ron. "I think I want to live here some day. Or come here to college. I know it's ages away and I never usually plan ahead or anything, but--" Pausing, he shrugged, "It sounds stupid but it just feels right being here."

Ron squeezed Evan´s hands lightly, smiling brightly back at him. He liked to see his boyfriend like this, excited and happy. "I think that is a good plan. It is only two years away and it is actually time to start thinking about it," he added. "I think it is great you feel this excited about New York, it is good to have some kind of an idea where you want to go." Even if nothing ever went according to plan, Ron liked to try to take control over his life anyway. Plans were good and dreams were even better as they usually led to determination.

Grinning and nodding along with Ron, Evan licked his lips as the other boy finished speaking. "Where do you want to go?" he asked, realising then that they'd never really talked about this, "Is it anywhere near here?" He really, really hoped that wherever Ron decided to study that it would be close by. Just moments ago they were talking about how weird it was to wake up and not see the other. Not being in the same city would definitely put a damper on everything.

"I have a few schools I want to apply to, hoping at least one will have me," Ron answered, biting his lip for a moment. "New York would be awesome," he admitted, his smile turning a little shy. It would be awesome if they were still together by the time they moved on to college and if they managed that (he really hoped they could), then not being in the same city would be frustrating.

"Of course they'll have you," Evan said with utter certainty, "They'd be stupid if they didn't." He was sure that Ron could get in wherever he wanted to, he definitely had the determination and the means to do so. "As for New York, I really hope that you want to come here too."

Pausing for a moment, he returned to Ron's side and kept one of his hands clasped in his own. "Just imagine it. Our own apartment in the city. We could do whatever we wanted. Wake up to pancakes whenever we liked and go to sleep at whatever time we pleased. We could spend the weekend decorating the place and you could have your piano. Raf would live across the hall like in 'Friends' and everything would be amazing." He didn't realise until he stopped that he was grinning like a madman at the thought, everything sounding perfect in his head.

His eyes focused on Evan as the other boy spoke, Ron felt his smile grown wider. "I would love that," he said sincerely. It really did sound perfect and he could actually imagine it. And while he did not dare to believe it would come true, he let himself hope. "That would be absolutely amazing." He grinned at his boyfriend, lacing their fingers together. "I believe I should prioritize my school accordingly." While it would not change the fact that he was interested in Ivy League first, but Columbia could certainly move to the top.

Looking hopefully at Ron as he agreed with what he'd said, Evan squeezed the other boy's hand and laughed. "That's awesome," he said, the idea that they might not be together at the time not even entering the equation. As he'd said, Evan wasn't the planning sort of guy and so he assumed that everything in his life at that moment was a constant.

Stopping near a bench, he sat down before tugging Ron down beside him. Once both of them were seated, he let his boyfriend's hand go in order to drape his arm over his shoulders. "I love you," he whispered in his ear, using his free hand to tilt Ron's face towards him. Leaning in, he pressed their lips together despite still smiling like a fool.

Ron leaned into the kiss, smiling as well, reaching his hand to rest it on Evan´s waist. He pulled away after a moment to whisper: "I love you, too." Then he pressed his lips against his boyfriend´s again, content to just sit here like this and enjoy the other boy´s presence.

Really, there wasn't a more perfect moment. Evan wasn't especially romantic but even he felt it. Innocently kissing his boyfriend at twilight on a bench in Central Park? Oh yes, definitely the deleted scene from some sort of romantic comedy.
