Who: Walker and RJ
What: Dinner before Prom
Where: Walker's dorm, the restaurant, and everywhere in between.
When: Saturday before prom
Rating: SFW. Really?

Prom. It did not appeal to Walker in the least. Loud music, crowded mobs, and delinquency all around. There would be no way to track all of the misdemeanors that would be going on. And he was going with Richard of all people; he would most likely be doing many of the evil acts in the first place. It was hardly an ideal world. But apparently I must, Walker chastised his doubting and negative thoughts. He must make connections, or else how will his future ever amount to how it should?

Walker had put on his suit over an hour ago in order to look presentable for tonight's events. There was nothing left to do but wait for his...date Richard to arrive.

RJ was looking mighty fine in his suit , if he did say so himself. He thought about bringing walker a corsages, but in the end decided it would just be too much. He was an ass, but he wasn't a jerk. Mostly, anyway.

He flipped the collar up on his suit, and knocked on Walkers door, tapping out a jazzy little rhythm on the wood. "Your Prince has arrived," he said when Walker answered the door.

Walker opened the door, unable to keep an expression of surprise off of his face. Richard's suit was ridiculous looking.

"Hello Richard," Walker greeted the other boy. "Are you prepared to leave?"

"Hello Walker," RJ said, adopting the same grave expression as Walkeer had. "Call me R though, or Dick Stick if you prefer." Richard was his father, and the name made him want to flinch.

"I'm ready if you are." He held out an arm with a small flourish, a cheeky grin in place. "I made reservations for us at Pasquales." He knew it was an expensive place, but he had his father's platinum card and no intention of actually letting Walker pay.

Again with the nicknames. What was it with this school? "I would much prefer Richard, thank you."

Walker stared at the arm with no intention of taking it, closing his door as he exited the doorway. Jotting down a quick message on the white board on his door, Walker walked towards the end of the hallway, expecting Richard to follow behind him. Pasquales, a very fancy and expensive restaurant. His father's words were ringing in his head. Impress the wealthy students...but surely his father could not have meant such a vulgar kind of person is to be impressed? But he knew he must. "Your taste is dining quite nice."

RJ was fucking glad Jack wasn't here, because only someone who knew him well would notice the facial tick and slight stumble in his step when Walker insisted on Richard. And fuck if he was going to make a big deal about it. He wasn't a fucking pussy.

"I am a man of many and varied tastes," he said, tugging Walker closer. "If you don't mind we'll take my car." He led Walker over to his pride and joy.

Walker repressed his urge to pull away from Richard, not wanting to make a bad impression on this supposedly rich boy, a suspicion confirmed when Walker saw Richard's car. Walker allowed himself a moment to examine the car, impressed with its sleek design, before turning to the passenger seat and shuffling inside of the car.

RJ played at begin a polite gentleman, thinking this date thing wasn't half bad. he'd never actually been on a dat before, because he was pretty sure hook-ups didn't count, and though he knew Walker was just using him for his own purposes, it was...nice.

Shaking his head to rid it of these terrible thoughts, he slid into the drivers seat and revved the engine. "Hold on tight," he said with a wicked grin, and then they were off at an almost unsafe speed.

Walker hadn't expected this sort of behavior from Richard. It was beginning to look like Richard had begun to take this more as a formal outing and less as a joke. It was pleasant to observe his apparent manners.

As the car sped up, Walker's fingernails dug into the car door as the scenery in the windows sped by.

RJ fucking loved his car. it was fast, it was sleek, it was sexy. And it had cost an obscene amount of money. All of his favorite things. Unfortunately the road to Westerville proper wasn't ideal for going 90 miles per hour, but eventually he would open her up on open road. He might just never come back.

It didn't take long before they were pulling into the restaurant, and he pulled up to the valet stand. It was probably the only pace that had valet parking in the town. he tossed the keys to the young guy working the stand, and then rounded the car. Placing his hand on the smal of Walkers back, he grinned. "Shall we?"

Walker let out a breath he didn't even realize he was holding in when the car started to slow. He would most definitely remember not to go driving with Richard anytime soon.

Walker arched his back a little, instinctively after being touched by Richard. Mot physical contact made Walker feel uncomfortable. Eluding Richard's hand on his back without making too much of a fuss, Walker nodded towards Richard. "Yes, let us go."

"Not a fan of the fast and furious?" RJ teased, holding the door for Walker. "You didn't have to worry. I've never crashed any of my cars." And there was an idea. Maybe he'd spend a few months racing cars in Europe after graduation next year. Make some money, have a lot of sex, drive fast cars. It was as good a plan as any.

He gave his name to the maitre'd, and they were shown to a private, cozy table. He knew his outfit was getting a few side glances from other patrons and the staff, but he didn't give a fuck. They could think what the wanted. Once they were seated, RJ grinned across the table. "So, Walker Yates, tell me something. Why is prom so important to you?"

Walker was once again forced to disregard Richard's sarcastic remarks. (It's here where a normal person might make a sarcastic remark of their own.)

Following Richard to their table, Walker was reminded at how bad of an idea this really was. All these people, staring at Walker with this hooligan in a ridiculous gettup. What if somebody saw him? He couldn't afford to embarrass his father himself like this. Walker looked down to the floor, trying the best he could to hide his face. Once seated, Walker relaxed ever-so-slightly but still remained vigilant, waiting for somebody to catch him. He looked up from the menu when Richard spoke. His eyes narrowed. "That should not be important."

"Oh, baby, it's more important than you know," RJ said, wondering if Walker was always all so uptight. "But if you insisted on having secrets, I'll allow them for now." He was sure he already knew why Walker had wanted to go to prom, and it had nothing to do with dancing.

"So, Walker Yates, why haven't I seen you around more? You're an RA, and a Sophomore. And you're understandably smitten with me. But what else makes up Walker Yates?" And this was why RJ didn't normally date, making conversation always felt so awkward.

Allow them for now. Like he was better than Walker. "Don't call me baby."

For the first time that night Richard had seemed less that 100% cocky about what he was saying, and it showed. It was endearing, in a way. Nice to know that somebody actually had a human side to them. "I'm not qite sure what you mean."

"Whatever you say, baby," RJ said, winking. The waiter came to see if they were ready to order, so they quickly did that and then were alone again.

"Well, since you won't tell me why it was so important for you to go to prom, I'm going to find out every little thing about you so I can make an educated guess." RJ took a sip of water, and looked at Walker expectantly. "So, tell me. Who is Walker Yates?"

Richard was trying to annoy Walker on purpose now, that much was becoming very apparent. He didn't mention the over boy's not-so-accidental slip of the tongue, but he gave Richard a small glare that let his feelings come across quite clearly.

"You'll have to be more specific in your questioning, as opposed to yourethod of open-ended questioning." Walker straightened his back, looking down and leafing through the menu. "Of course, this is assuming you actually want to know instead of simply asking the sake of conversation."

RJ rolled his eyes. Walker was turning out to be high maintenance, but he was hot enough that he could ignore that. "Okay, we'll start easy. What made you think of me for Prom? I know I'm a legend among the younger kids, but I'd like to know just how awesome I am."

Finally, a question he could answer proficiently. "Your friend Noah made me aware that you did't have a date to the prom, and so I asked you to take me." Plain and simple.

"So, aside from being desperate to go to Prom, what do you like? Play any sports?" Though as far as RJ was concerned, if you didn't play tennis, you didn't play sports. "Just trying to get to know you better, baby, don't be so stingy with the information."

Walker would be as stingy as he pleased, thank you very much. "I'm a member of the academy swim team and track team," Walker replied. He had still not figured out why Richard was feigning curiosity about his life.

"Ah, swimming," RJ said, leering across the table. "I bet you look real nice in those speedos." Walker had a swimmer's frame, a look that RJ had always found sexy. "Jack's on the track team. Haven't made it to any meets this year, but you guys are doing pretty good." He was quiet for a minute, fighting to keep from fidegting, and then added, "Plus, the track team always had the best locker room orgies. You involved with any of those?"

Ogling was not permitted, not in the least. Especially if it was some perverted boy with horrible manners. Of course, Richard's comment served it's purpose of making Walker feel a combination of awkwardness and anger, a feeling he really should have been more used to after spending almost two years at The Acadamy. Walker couldn't help but fidget in his seat, looking down at the menu in front of him (when was the waiter going to get here?). But at last, Richard was talking about something he could relate to. Track certaintly was good excercise (one might even go as far a to say "fun"), but just as he opened his mouth to respond Richard had to ruin it with another sexual comment, one that happened to repulse Walker. He grimaced just barely, hoping Richard didn't catch him. "How many times must students be reminded of the Acadamy's regulations on sexual relations? Though I hope you were joking," Walker responded, hoping Richard would at least attempt to be civil for the rest of the evening.

RJ smirked, finding Walker's awkwardness charming hilarious. "A big fan of the rule book are you?" he teased, taking a drink from his glass of water. "I'll have you know I know that book back to front. All the better to work around the rules. It's why I'd have made such a good RA." He didn't clarify if he'd been joking or not, though as far as he knew no orgies had been held in the locker rooms. The boys usually saved those for the club.

Walker wasn't supposed to be awkward. He was supposed to give of a good appearance. And the great people of the world were not awkward. Mentally scolding himself, Walker straightened his back and arched his back, making himself look a little more regal. "I'm an RA, as you know. it's my duty to enforce the rules," Walker recited, seeing a he had to remind several different people on virtually a daily basis. Richard disappointed him with his stupidity, however. "And you do realize you are telling an RA that you break the rules intentionally, correct?" Offense intended.

"I bet you always do your duty," RJ said, completely at ease with potentially incriminating himself. "And are you going to turn me in, Mr. Yates? You have me at your mercy right now." He smirked. "Of course, my father will just buy my way back in. Hate to break ti to you baby, but those rules you love so much? Mean absofuckinglutely nothing."

Well, the rich assumption was definitely confirmed now. "I have nothing to turn you in for, so whoever your father is won't have to buy your way out of trouble." He let the last comment slide, partially because he didn't want to justify it with an answer. And partially because to some degree, he had to admit that it was true.

RJ was surprised that Walker didn't know who his father was. most people did. At least, they knew he was loaded and RJ had an unlimited spending limit on his credit cards. And he didn't mind at all spending it on frivolous things or trips to Europe.

"He'll be so disappointed. I feel that I should tell you something, just so he can pretend he cares for a little while." Not that his father would actually show up. He'd just send his assistant and a blank check, like he had the last time.

Walker definitely wasn't comfortable with Richard's self-pity. So once again, he ignored it. "It would not be a very smart idea, I must say. Getting in trouble with your parents is just about the worst thing you can do," Walker commented, quickly adding "at this age".

Walker was about to make a comment he would probably regret later on, when the waiter arried with their food. Happy to have a distraction, Walker began to start eating.

[AND RJ MADE SEXUAL COMMENTS AND WALKER SCOWELED AND THEN THEY WENT TO PROM]
