Entry tags:! thread, # pairing: colby/luke, @ character: benjamin montague, @ character: colby matthews, @ character: lucas kershaw, status: incomplete

Who: Ben + Colby + Luke
Where: Cafeteria
When: Thursday during lunch
What: Introductions
Rating: SFW plus Luke's language and Colby

As he had taken to doing since Luke had transferred, Colby had waited for Luke after his last class before escorting him to lunch. Usually they would grab some food and head outside, since Colby claimed the air was "stifling" but really just wanted o go outside where he was free to do what he wanted with Luke. Sometimes, if he was lucky, he would get a kiss.

NOT TODAY THOUGH. :|

Today, Colby and Luke happened to get in line right behind one Benjamin Montague.

"B-Diddy!" Colby exclaimed. "Funny seeing you here!"

He grinned, casually slinging an arm around Luke. They were so having lunch with Ben today.

Ben remained mostly quiet on their trip outside. He was too busy trying to work Luke out, trying to get a grasp on the sort of person that he was. He already knew to tread lightly but it was the reason behind that which got him pondering.

Sitting down, he looked between the other boys with a smile. "You know I wouldn't say anything," he said, smiling at Colby before busying himself with his bag. Pulling his drink out, he took a sip before peering back at them again. What was he meant to say?

"So, are you guys together officially?" he settled on, not exactly sure of the answer. He hadn't really spoken to Colby much lately regarding the love life of the Canadian, so he was a little in the dark about the entire thing.

Colby was right about both the gesture and the comment, and by the time they were seated (Luke didn't register that he and Colby were thigh to thigh), Luke was treating Colby to his patented remind-me-why-I-even-put-up-with-you look.

He nodded reluctantly at Ben's question, then shrugged gently. "Not Facebook official. I don't want to be murdered," he answered, as if that explained everything. Dalton was one thing, but in the outside world being in a relationship with a dude wasn't exactly the safest thing he could think of. He ate, though it was in a way that suggested he barely even noticed the food at all.

"See? Shy," Colby said, his hand grasping for Luke's and setting it now on their thighs. He didn't mind eating one-handed, since it was just a sandwich; not to mention it meant that he could hold Luke's hand, which trumped over needing both hands to eat.

Jesus, he turned so stupid when he was around Luke.

"But really, he just doesn't want people from his old school to know," Colby shrugged. "He's afraid he'll be murdered because they'll want me and will do whatever it takes to get me."

With an understanding nod, Ben relaxed a little more as he continued to drink. After a few moments he pulled out his sandwich, beginning to make start on lunch. He could understand the hesitant actions of the younger boy and he could respect such a decision. Besides, it wasn't as though a status on facebook defined a relationship.

"Watch it, Canada," he said after Colby stopped talking, "Something is swelling and it's not what you think it is."
