What: the Cas and Len show (aka celebratory dindin)
Where: School grounds and then a nearby restaurant
Rating: SFW

His head was still spinning. When Leonard had decided to try out for the Warblers he honestly hadn’t expected anything to come of it and now… He was still half convinced this was all some sort of dream and he’d wake up any moment to find Logan standing over him with the same bored expression he wore outside of Vocal Adrenaline practices. If this was all some sort of dream he was never leaving his room again, damnit. He’d DIE in there! Okay… he realized that was a slightly overdramatic train of thought but things at Dalton hadn’t been quite as bad as he’d imagined. The teachers were brilliant, classes were fast paced and (if he did say so himself) so far ahead of Carmel, the other students weren’t completely terrifying, and (best of all) the Warblers weren’t evil. The ones he’d met or talked to had seemed quite charming. He couldn’t keep his defenses up around them. Maybe he’d originally agreed to the audition with thoughts of revenge but, while he spent the night going over song choices and practicing, it became about regaining something he’d lost. Getting kicked out of Carmel, losing that connection he’d shared with his brother… all of that had left him feeling very out of place in the world. He wanted to belong and he hoped the Warblers could help him with that.

Spotting Cas as the younger boy walked out of the school Leonard bounced slightly on his heels, throwing his hand up to try and get the other boy’s attention. “Cas! Castiel! Cassy Cas Cas!” He waved his hands and flashed his friend a wide grin. Yeah, he knew that was all probably overkill but he couldn’t help it. He was still working off of the exhilaration of the announcement. He moved to fall into step next to the other boy.
