Blake had put in some random movie. To be honest, he barely knew Scotty at all and had no idea what kind of film he'd appreciate. The kid seemed nice enough though, and didn't seem to judge Blake for his lack of desire to go to therapy, which Blake appreciated. When things were feeling sufficiently awkward though, he tried to strike up conversation.

"So... You're a sophomore, right?"

"Um, yes," Scotty said. He had hesitantly decided to sit on the bed with Blake, though he remained safely out of reach, just in case. Old habits died hard. "I transferred here after winter break. I like it here a lot. And, um, you're a senior, right?"

The more they spoke, the more Scotty realized he had absolutely no idea who this person was. Blake could hurt Scotty at any moment. He should have maybe invited Gabriel, but Gabriel had been agreeing with the others for once. Gabriel would encourage Blake to try therapy.

He was a little surprised that Gabriel hadn't said anything to him about it, actually.

Blake could sense that Scotty was rather uncomfortable with this-- and Blake himself was feeling rather defensive, curled up against the headboard with Scotty all the way down on the other side of the bed. As much as he wanted to make Scotty feel less awkward, he wasn't sure how to.

"I'm a junior, actually." Blake corrected with a small smile. People always thought he was older than he actually was, so it was no big deal. "I transferred here my sophomore year."

"Do you like it here?" Scotty asked. He chewed nervously on his sweatshirt string before trading it for he sucker he had brought with him. The wrapper crinkled quietly as he opened it, but once it was opened Scotty placed it immediately into his mouth.

Of course, the question Scotty just asked could be a bad one considering what had happened to bring them together.

"It's... Hard to tell, sometimes." Blake replied, knowing that was the closest thing to an honest answer he had. "I hated being at home. I don't really love being here all the time."

He shrugged. Then again, it wasn't Dalton specifically that caused him problems. Just a few of the students. "It's better than my old school. What about you? I mean, you haven't been here long, but you must have an opinion by now?"

"I like it here," Scotty said. "Um, it isn't perfect or anything, but it's better than my other options, so, um... I guess I'd like to keep staying here."

To go back to McKinley, where he was bullied, or back home to his foster parents, where he was abused... no, Dalton was definitely the best place for him right now. Plus he may even be adopted! Though with how long it was taking Jack and Pat to get back to him, Scotty was worried that Pat had decided not to do it.
