Who: Ian then later Castiel
When: Saturday from about 3 AM then landing safely around 7 AM
Where: His room then outside of Chopp
Rating: SFW
Note: Italics indicate dreaming.

Ian had fallen asleep without much protest or medication last night, having spent most of it chatting about everything under the sun with Castiel in a group chat. There'd been teasing Ben too but English had hardly been paying attention. He was pretty sure he and Cas had driven everyone away. Not a single awkward pause was to be had...

The house was full with friends and, for some reason, the Royal family. When Ian leaned over to talk to someone, concerned about something he couldn't remember, all of a sudden pretty much everyone was gone except for his closer friends. And his attention was focused on a television playing the longest movie trailer ever except that it was showing the outside of the house they were in. Huh.

Someone left - he couldn't tell who as everyone was fairly faceless. On the screen he could see the same person walking to their car, disappearing around a corner when it happened. That's when the screaming started. Someone went to check. Ian couldn't leave the house. Something stopped him just at the screen door and he wouldn't go. No, he rushed to the phone instead and called, if you can believe it, his mother.

He tried to explain but all he got was "Ian, it's a movie trailer. Nothing's happening." Another scream. Now some how he was alone. Where had everyone else gone? Ian pressed his lips together and forced himself to return to the screen door. There he was again. That thing. The man.

He'd dreamed of the man before, he'd realize later but for now, he stared. The man was tall and lanky, entirely human in form with long black hair and pale skin. It was his eyes that were inhuman - entirely black. And there was something wrong about the way he smiled. It was too big, too sharp. And he was always smiling. His arms were practically soaked in the blood of those he'd already killed.

Ian did the first thing he thought of. He slammed the door and locked it then ran towards the kitchen to get the biggest, baddest knife he could find. But the screen door and front door were creaking from pressure... Black something or other was seeping through the cracks. Then the doors exploded inward sending shards of wood everywhere and the living room ceiling collapsed. Everything was blackness there.

Ian ran once more, knifeless for whatever reason. Down the hallway as beams collapsed downward behind him and the blackness crawled. He did the girliest thing by slipping into the bathroom and shutting the door, turning on the light to fight away the dark and pressing his back against the sink.

That is how the man snuck up on him arms reaching out of the mirror to grab Ian by the head and smash him into the glass.
Ian sat up in his bed, eyes wide, fearful. Although he looked very much awake, he wasn't. The world around him was entirely unfamiliar to him as he was kind of stuck in his dream. He wanted to scream but... That might attract the Man. Quietly as he could, he crawled out of the unfamiliar bed, breathing fast and in a panic.

He ran his hands over his face and started backing up, turning slowly until he hit the wall with his back. For a moment, he froze then he reached to either side of him until he felt something cold and - a doorknob! He turned it, left the room and ran. Where ever he was, the walls were slanted, uneven. Moving and changing their angles, rolling the floor. He staggered down the hallway, panic positively engulfing him. He had to get away. Where was he? Probably that creature's home.

There were a lot of doors but he ignored them. Except for one that seemed to lead... outside? He picked that. Outside would mean more room to run. Maybe he'd see something familiar instead of, well, not. Outside though he recognized nothing. There were a lot of buildings but they were rusted out and half chain link fence. There were eyes staring menacingly at him everywhere. He staggered across the courtyard, eyes wide and staring as he slowly turned in circles as he made his way, trying to figure out a direction or a landmark or something.

Without realizing it he was up against another building. Giving into his panic and terror, he slid down the wall and sat down, curling over in a ball and whimpering. Hugging his knees, he started to cry - or he would have if he hadn't returned to a proper sleeping state.

So when it came to be morning proper, he was asleep outside of Chopp hall, sprawled on the ground and fairly hidden considering his dreaming adventure before.

Cas wondered what it would be like to explain to that one RA, Walker, how you'd stumbled out of your room without a key and woke up on the grass one morning. It probably wouldn't fly. "You don't have to tell me a thing." Naturally, he was curious, but he wouldn't die from anxiety over why Ian was covered in dew. So he started for his room as if he was guiding Ian across a light.

Ian laughed bitterly and shook his head, "If I could, I would, mate. But I don't remember how I got out there. I went to bed after the chat. I woke up here." He followed along, looking like a lost, gangly puppy. Funny that a weirdo freshman was taking care of him.

That didn't sound good. He was no expert, but Cas had a few ideas running through his mind. "Must've been aliens," he said before he could stop himself. Maybe that had come across as a little insensitive. Cas chewed at his lip and wished that he knew Ian better. Then he might've had a better chance at cheering the poor guy up.

Ian blinked at Castiel then burst out with a surprised laugh. "Oh my god, yes. Aliens. Although I don't feel like I've been probed or dissected or anything." Aliens were a perfectly acceptable way of trying to cheer him up actually.

The pleasant surprise extended to Cas who even cracked a sheepish little smile. A dusting of pink spread across his cheeks. He went on to suggest, "They were benign aliens," - Cas turned over his free palm, emphasizing - "It strikes once but doesn't do much else other than live in your brain as a foggy memory." Tumors and aliens, hilarious.

Ian arched an eyebrow, settling his arms behind his head. Some how he managed to echo the thought part. "Great. So either aliens or a tumor. But I'm pretty sure," he switched into a really crappy Schwarzenegger impression, "It's not a too-mah." Oh man. Too many movies.

Cas found himself in a fit of giggles at Ian's impression. As far as he was concerned, it was a damn good attempt. Anything sounded funny at this hour when the brain wasn't quite awake. "I hope nothing pops out of your head." Aside from brilliant ideas of course.

Ian laughed a bit weakly and shook his head, "No man... It'll come from the chest." Then he mimed a chest burster and squeal-roared a bit. Oh Alien. How it had defined a genre...

Castiel threw a hand up over his mouth, amused beyond all reason and showing it. He raised his arms, miming a gun being fired. "Take that, alien scum!" Because a few bullets would be enough to destroy a creepy crawler from outer space. Humans were so prepared.

Ian's body jerked with each mimed fire of the gun like he was getting hit and he leaned against the wall, Alien Chest Burster Hand dangling for a moment... No movement. Silence. And then all of a sudden, he shot his arm out at Cas, squeal-roaring again. Typical movie scene right?

This was so retarded.

As silly as the act was, Cas felt no shame in enjoying its sheer ridiculousness.

He fell over and yelped, swatting at the foreign limb with as much might he could muster (without causing grievious injury.) In the movie, he'd probably be dead by now. Of course, his specialty was fantasy, not this sci-fi madness. Yet he was more than willing to play along if that was what Ian liked.

Ian couldn't keep it up. He started laughing. A lot. "Oh my god. It is too early for this much sheer ridiculousness." He was really and truly doubled over with laughter, shaking his head a little.

"Laughter is the best medicine," Castiel chirped. It gave him warm fuzzies to hear Ian laughing shortly after his bout of confusion. He picked himself back up and hoped that there weren't any grass stains on his butt. If anyone asked, he'd probably tell them that it was alien goo.
