Sad Homecomings
Who: Blaine and Colby (Ben and Noah?)
What: Blaine and Ben return home to find a surprise.
Where: Columbus airport -> Westerville
When: Midnightish, Thursday, March 24/25
Rating: SFW. Probably

Blaine was sluggish getting off the long flight back from California, after putting in his headphones and dozing on the plane. Trying to doze, at least. It was so incredibly awkward with Ben beside him, ignoring him. I just want my friend back...

Blaine gathered his luggage, not at all looking forward to the long drive back to Westerville. He made his way out past the security and into the airport proper, rubbing his forehead as he waited for Ben.

Noah rolled his eyes but slung the duffel bag over his shoulder. "Yeah, I'm good - did you guys leave a car parked here? Should we split up?" Truthfully, he thought it'd be more beneficial to stick together, because how were they ever going to work things out otherwise? but then again, he was pretty sure the ride home would've been silent with all four of them stuck in one car. He'd had enough silence in his life lately.

With a nod, Ben's hand buried itself in his jacket pocket. Pulling out his keys, he thrust them into Noah's hand with a forced smile. Could they leave now? He didn't want to sound like a whiny bitch but he really was exhausted; both physically and emotionally. The other boy had driven his car before and he figured that Blaine and Colby would want to go together, so he was fine travelling with Noah.

Colby didn't even get a chance to voice his opinion, for Ben was already taking out his keys and handing them to Noah. Colby tried to pretend that didn't sting a little, how Ben hadn't even hesitated.

Roommates, he told himself. That was why. It had nothing to do with Ben being pissed at him and Blaine.

"If we're driving separate then I can take Blaine's bag," Colby said, shifting awkwardly from one foot to the other. "No sense in you guys taking everything." Nevermind that was what he had just been saying.

"Let's just go," Blaine said, taking his bag back from Noah. "Where did you park?" Like Ben, he just wanted to get home. He didn't want to split up, but it was almost getting to the point of physical pain to be travelling with Ben. Colby, at least, wouldn't try to pretend he didn't exist.

Noah didn't bother disguising his overdramatic sigh. Why were things weird? He hated weirdness. He took Ben's keys and draped an arm over his shoulder. "I was kind of hoping to stop and get food on the way home," he said, peering around at the three of them. That, actually, was completely improvisational, but food could cure almost anything, right?

"But, I mean, if you guys are too tired..."
