Who: Ben + Blaine + Colby + Noah
What: Foursome
Where: Common room
When: Super Bowl Sunday
Rating: SFW

Since Colby had left his room early to make the food, he had been one of the first to arrive in the common room. The other person being, of course, Noah. Because God loved Colby, obviously.

"Hey," he said, setting the plates on the table and sitting on the opposite side of the couch Noah was sitting on. He stretched his legs out, reclining back on the couch and trying not to appear as nervous as he felt. He had never felt so anxious before. Not before a fencing match, not before the Warblers' competition, never. But Noah- Noah made Colby feel all sorts of disgusting feelings he would be a lot better without.

Noah was irrationally stoked for the Superbowl, given that the only investment he had in either team was that he hated Pittsburgh with the fire of a thousand burning suns. But alll that really meant was that today, he was a Packers fan. And he dressed for the occasion, a yellow tshirt and green basketball shorts and a bright green headband around his mop of curls. Sporting events were just about the only time he put effort into what he was wearing, what could he say.

His excitement for the game, however, didn't do much to stave off the feeling that tonight was going to be awkward. He was always down for hanging out with Ben and Blaine, of course, but he hadn't quite figured out how to act around Colby now, and that was weird.

It didn't help that he and Colby were the first two to arrive.

"Hey," he returned, fishing his iPhone out of his pocket and typing out a quick message to Ben: get your ass to the common room pronto. He cleared his throat and stowed the phone away, as to not be rude. "What's up?"

Blaine came running into the common room, definitely stoked for the Superbowl. Like Noah, he was decked out in Packers colors, his own hair ungelled for the party. "Hey guys! It hasn't started yet, right?"

Ben was hot on Blaine's heels. Unlike the other boys, who all seemed to be dressed for the occasion, Ben wasn't supporting any team and hadn't coloured up for the event. He wasn't especially excited for the game (mostly because he still didn't understand it) but he was looking forward to hanging out with his boys. He was determined to diffuse any tension there might have been between Colby and Noah, and he hoped that Blaine could help.

Upon getting Noah's text, he sprinted down the stairs and burst into the room. Grinning at his friends, he instantly moved to the couch and sat himself between Blaine and Colby. "What up, homeboys?" he said in a faux American accent, resting his arms across the back of the sofa before sliding them down over Blaine and Colby's shoulders. He leaned his hand over and ruffled Noah's hair too, so as not to leave the other boy out.

Colby looked over at Noah, his eyes drifting down to his phone. He wondered who Noah was texting. Primo, maybe? Planning to hook up-

God. Colby shouldn't wonder. Who Noah texted had never been Colby's business and it shouldn't be now. Colby sighed quietly, rolling his head back when he heard Blaine's voice. Thank God. Colby needed more distractions. Obviously he was going to get sappy if left alone with him.

"Blainesy~" Colby cheered, scooting closer to Noah to make room for Blaine on the sofa. Totally on accident too. It just seemed like a natural reaction, that Colby would make room. Nevermind that Blaine could have sat in the middle. Totally on accident. "It hasn't started yet-"

The mood improved when Ben appeared too. Colby scooted closer still to Noah, again because of the natural instinct to make room. Not because he wanted to sit next to that bastard Noah. Ew, gross. Noah. No me gusta.

"We're in an American sandwich Ben," Colby whined when Ben joined him in the middle. "Trapped on both sides."

He slung an arm around Ben, curling his hand around Blaine's neck. Naturally his legs had to move closer to Noah's to stay comfortable. Lightly his leg brushed against Noah's and Colby nudged his foot against the other boy's.

Just to be comfortable. Seriously.

It would be an understatement to say that Noah was relieved by the sudden appearance of both Ben and Blaine. "Yo," he said, flashing them both a grin. At least there were no Steelers fans there. "Nice hair, Blaine. And kickoff is in ten minutes, we've got time."

He bit down on the inside of his cheek when he felt Colby's leg brush against his. He couldn't do this for the next three hours, no way, and sort of like impulse he sprang out of his seat. "Food?" he said, glancing around. Nevermind that he was the only one standing. "There's food, right?"

"Ben!?" Blaine turned to stare at Ben with wide eyes. "Was that an accent!?" His laugh started as a snicker, and soon it had grown to a full-blown cackle as he fell forward laughing at Ben's atrocious American accent.

Swatting Blaine upside the head as he was teased, Ben grinned. "Yes, that was an accent," he said matter-of-factly, "And it was pretty damn good too, so don't hate." As Blaine fell forwards, Ben rested one hand on his rear and pushed harder in order to make Blaine fall. With his own laugh, he leaned back and kissed Colby on the cheek before peering up at Noah.

"That's a good question!" he asked with a grin, "I'm starving here. If I have to put up with your pansy arsed idea of a sport for three hours, I expect to be fed."

"Hey! This is my team!" Colby said, nudging Ben's arm. "At least pretend to love the Cheeseheads."

He looked up at Noah, frowning and then looking away. He was stupid to have tried. Colby had never been the type to give up, but he felt so lost when it came to Noah. He had no idea what he could do to make the situation any better. And Noah, Noah didn't want to talk to him or touch him.

Colby swallowed and leaned forward so he could take the cover off of the cupcakes and pizza bites.

"You saw me bring them in," Colby said to Noah, and though he spoke to him he didn't look over. Instead he focused on extracting a cupcake from the tin and handing it to Ben. "Here, Benny. Does this help?"

"Right," Noah said idly, grabbing as many of the pizza bites as his hands would allow and then wandering over to the other end of the couch, propping himself up on the opposite arm. "You should try one of these," he said, mouth full, offering one out to Blaine.

He glanced over at Ben and wrinkled his nose in faux annoyance. "Don't call it pansy-arsed. Football is legit. It's better than whatever you Brits do, riding around on horses and hitting balls with sticks or whatever."

"I wish I could play football," Blaine sighed from the floor where he lay after Ben had shoved him. "But we should try it sometime. Injuries are good, right? Manly?" He pushed himself up enough to reach for the pizza bites, clambering bank onto the couch and throwing his legs across Ben's lap, waving at the other two boys. "Bring me edibles! I'm keeping the Brit from running away!"

Taking the cupcake from Colby with a grin and a nod, Ben turned to Noah. Pointing at him with his free hand, he pouted, "I'll have you know that polo is a prestigious sport. Hard as fuck to play, especially compared to American football."

Unwrapping his cupcake, Ben took a small bite before arching an eyebrow at Blaine. So he was planning on keeping him here, huh? Scooping some of the frosting from the top, he moved to smear some on Blaine's cheek before holding his finger to the other boy's mouth with a smirk. "Try this, it's really good."

Colby watched as Noah moved away to the other side of the couch. Wordlessly he pushed the pizza bites closer to that side and snagged another cupcake for himself to cover the move. He wasn't feeling very hungry anymore, or in the mood to celebrate.

"I told you it'd be good," Colby said, settling into the corner of the couch that Noah had just vacated and setting his feet over Ben's lap. "No practice necessary."

Noah rolled his eyes good-naturedly as both of the other boys trapped Ben beneath their feet. "At least do something worthwhile with him," he joked, pulling the yellow headband off of his head, shaking his hair out, and then reaching over and tugging it over Ben's forehead instead. "There, now you're in the spirit."

Blaine squawked at the icing to his cheek, but then he was catching Ben's hand to wrap his lips and tongue around Ben's finger, sucking it clean with a gesture that was positively sinful. "Mmmm..."

Ben smirked a little as Blaine licked his finger. Biting his lip, he shook his head, "You should come with a health warning," he said, the faintest hint of desire in his voice as he took another bite from the cupcake.

As Noah placed the band over his head, Ben's hand instantly went to his hair. "Watch it!" he said with a small gasp, "Don't mess up my hair." Fiddling with the strands with a pout, he made sure it was fine before leaning forwards and licking the frosting from Blaine's cheek. He then collapsed sideways in order to lay against Colby, snuggling into to other boy's side.

Colby watched silently as Blaine sucked on Ben's finger. He most certainly was not jealous of them, even if his entire visage conveyed otherwise. Still, just because his chances with Noah were now over didn't mean that Blaine had to give up on Ben too.

However, he was undeniably relieved when Ben snuggled against him. Immediately he wrapped his arm around Ben's waist, scooting to make more room for him. Using Ben as a teddy bear could maybe help Colby get through this.

"You're still going to have to explain the game to me, Noah," Colby said, propping his head on Ben's shoulder. He knew enough to have the gist of it, but some calls still left him baffled.

"Can we keep the gay to a minimum tonight, please?" Noah joked, watching Blaine's obscene finger-sucking and then the cuddling going on at the opposite end of the couch. He dropped down from the arm to the cushion, making himself comfortable beside Blaine.

"No problem," he added to Colby, training his eyes on the TV screen. "As long as you don't talk during the good parts."

"Ben started it!" Blaine protested, pointing a finger accusingly at the taller boy before leaning back against Noah's shoulder. "I hope the Black-Eyed Peas can surpass my expectations for the halftime show."

Snuggling closer to Colby, Ben poked his tongue out at both Noah and Blaine before wrapping his arm around Colby's back. "You can't restrict the gay, Noah," he said cheekily, closing his eyes and smiling to himself as Colby held him tighter.

The peace didn't last for long however, as Ben opened his eyes to look at Blaine with an expression of mock outrage. "Did not!" he cried in return, lightly nudging Blaine with a foot, "As for the Black-Eyed Peas, I really doubt it."

"I don't know what the good parts are," Colby said as the Packers scored. He looked at the screen and shrugged, snuggling closer to Ben. All of football looked the same, no matter if the gained a yard, lost a yard, or scored. Honestly, football seemed so confusing.

"Ditto to the Black-Eyed Peas," Colby added. "They auto-tune too much to sound good live."

"I have zero expectations for the Black-Eyed Peas," Noah said nonchalantly, shaking his head. "I'm so sick of Fergie."

He half-thought he might've just as well been watching the Superbowl with a bunch of girls, given how little Colby and Ben seemed to care about the game. They were lucky he liked them. They were lucky he very pointedly did not comment on them snuggling during the most exciting sporting event of the year. Regardless, he felt no shame in leaning forward at the edge of his seat when the Packers even neared the endzone, not tearing his gaze away from the screen.

Once the game started, Blaine actually pulled away from the other guys a little, getting sucked into the game. He cheered for every point and good play, groaned every time the Steelers got the ball, and shouted at the ref for every call he disagreed with.

Unlike Noah and Blaine, Ben could really care less. He watched the game and cheered along whenever his friends did, but mostly he just relaxed against Colby's chest and enjoyed the feeling of being hugged. He even kept the silly footballs-related questions to himself, as well as the several snarky comments about how the game really was just rugby with a lot of padding.

Colby didn't care much about it, and aside from his earlier question he didn't speak much. He just held Ben and watched the game quietly, occasionally looking over to Noah. He learned not to in a short amount of time though; seeing Noah looking so excited and knowing it would be weird to share that excitement killed any joy Colby may have garnered.

He shouldn't have even asked.

"I'm going to get a soda," Colby announced, unwrapping his arms from Ben and standing. He patted his pocket as though checking for money but really checking to make sure his pack was still there. "You guys want anything?"
