Kurt lasted approximately ten minutes after the lights went out trying to cuddle by himself in bed. He'd never actually missed having a roommate, but right now every creaking of the walls and scrape of the trees outside had him jumping underneath his comforter. He'd been stoked for a horror movie marathon, but with no power it hadn't happened. So he was cold, and alone, and yeah, that just wasn't going to work for him. Grabbing his phone, he sent a quick mass text to everyone in his Dalton contact list, calling for an emergency sleepover in the common room. Surely he wasn't the only one unwilling to suffer alone.

Wrapped up in an oversize sweatshirt Ohio State he'd stolen from his father and his comforter, his hair for once less than perfect, he made his way down to the common room and claimed one of the couches for his own. Now he just had to hope someone would show up.

As much as he wanted to relieve Blaine's upset at his missing puppy, Ben was thinking a lot more rationally. It was extremely sad that Chambers was out there alone in the cold, but there really wasn't a lot that they could do.

"The roads are probably really icy," Ben countered, pulling his head from Blaine's shoulder in order to look at him. "We could get into an accident. What use would you be to Chambers if you were hurt?"

Moving his hand up, Ben stroked the side of Blaine's face with a sombre expression. He was more than aware of how helpless Blaine felt in that moment and it made him extremely uncomfortable to know that he couldn't do anything to make his best friend feel better.

"We'll go looking for him as soon as the storm stops." Sliding a finger under Blaine's chin, Ben tilted his head up and pressed a light kiss to his lips, "I promise. Okay?"

	"You can't think like that," Ben said seriously. True, it was a possibility. But that wasn't going to help the situation right now. 	Blaine heaved a sigh and leaned forward to rest his head on Ben's warmer shoulder. Ben had a point... but Blaine still couldn't see it. His dog was missing, and he wasn't going to be happy until he knew where he was. (Reply to this) (Parent) (Thread)

Sliding his hand up to burrow into Blaine's hair, Ben pulled him closer and sighed. This was a sucky situation all round, but he felt extremely bad for not being able to do a thing to change what was happening. He needed something, anything to distract Blaine.

Mock shivering, Ben hugged tighter. "Aren't you cold?" he asked, tugging the blanket around them more.

Letting his fingers play with the base of Blaine's hair, Ben sighed again. He was more than content to sit in silence and continue watching the storm, so long as Blaine knew that he was here for him.

After a few moments of silence in which all he could hear was the wind outside and the low buzz of chatter from everyone else in the room, Ben softly began to hum a mindless tune in order to amuse himself.

Feeling Blaine move in closer, Ben took a moment to just enjoy the closeness. Then, moving down slightly in order to press his lips against Blaine's cheek, Ben kissed him shortly before closing his eyes. Once again he began to hum, this time having a song in mind.

"I don't like to be alone in the night,
And I don't like to hear I'm wrong when I'm right..."

Keeping his lips near Blaine's ear, Ben sang quietly so that only the boy underneath him could hear.

	Once the song was over, Ben sighed and squeezed his friend softly. Resting his forehead against Blaine's temple, he kissed the skin across his cheekbone before things fell silent once again. (Reply to this) (Parent)
