One reason it did was that I kept looking at the Harry/Patronus pairing and think: "But why? And how does that feel?" So, I had to try and find out. Sadly, the muse is a bit shy, but at least I got most of the information I was after ;-) As for what happened to the part about charms, well that's a whole other story and probably has something to do with the fact that I have mild OCD.
