For those participating in Kinky Kristmas (both members and watchers), here are the headers for both fic and art. Please use a "highlight to read warnings" bar only if you are warning for a potential plot spoiler. Remember, pieces are to be submitted to us at dd.mods at gmail before December 1. Send fic as a .doc or .rtf file; no Googledocs please. Please send art directly to us as well -- we'll be hosting it for you. Remember, we're posting pieces anonymously, so don't post your work elsewhere until reveals have gone up in January!

As the subject line says, watchers may now begin claiming wishes to participate in this year's Kinky Kristmas celebration! There are still lots of great prompts available. Go HERE to claim yours!

You might wish to include a second choice in your comment just in case someone else beats you to your first choice. This is optional, though; we'll try to be vigilant about monitoring and updating the claims list.

And members, if you're feeling particularly motivated you can now claim a second prompt.

Below you'll find a list of all the wishes submitted by our members. There's a huge variety: het and slash, all sorts of pairings, threesomes and moresomes, and nearly every kink under the sun. They range from a little bit naughty to thoroughly filthy. Something for everyone!

In order to make a claim, simply reply to this post and tell us the number of the wish you'd like to fulfill. Comments are screened to preserve anonymity. Each wish can be claimed only once, and as they're taken they'll be struck off the list.

Members, you have a 24 hour "head start" to make your claims before watchers join in. Watchers, a post will go up at noon (U.S. Eastern time) tomorrow to let you know you may begin claiming wishes.

Watchers: Please include an age statement in your claim comment. "I am over 18," or "I am of the legal age to read/view adult content in my country of residence," will be sufficient.

ETA: We'll be crossing off claims as they happen. If your choice is already taken, we'll notify you via PM or email immediately. Otherwise, assume you got your pick.

Completed pieces are due by Monday, November 30 and should be emailed to dd.mods@gmail.com. Fic must be a minimum of 1,000 words and art must be a completed piece. Both fic and art must merit at least an R rating. No crossovers permitted. Watchers: your pieces must fit into a single IJ post. The mods reserve the right to refuse any fic that contains multiple SPAG problems or art that appears to be a last-minute slap-dash sketch, so be sure to plan ahead and find a reliable beta! Headers for both fic and art will become available a little closer to December.

We're very excited about Kinky Kristmas this year and are looking forward to seeing loads of fantastic, kinky work!

It's September, which means it's time to start planning and plotting for the 2009 Kinky Kristmas celebration!

This year's round will be similar to things we've done in the past, but with a few new twists.

The Skinny:

Our members will be making kinky wishes for fics and art that would make their holidays happy. Then, both members AND watchers will get to fulfill those wishes. We're excited to be giving our watchers an opportunity to participate in the comm and thank our members who provide so much entertainment throughout the year. And who knows -- we might even find a talented new member or two!

Additionally, Kinky Kristmas is going double-blind anonymous this year! The wishes will be posted anonymously and the claiming will also take place anonymously. All pieces will be submitted to the mods (dd.mods@gmail.com) for anonymous posting throughout December. Author/artist reveals will take place in early January.

How This is Going to Work:

This Thursday, September 10 we will put up a post and ask members to begin submitting their wishes. This will be done through screened comments to the post. We'll continue collecting wishes for one week.

Saturday, September 19 we will post a numbered list of all the wishes and claiming will begin. Claiming will also be done though screened comments to the post. Each participant may claim one wish to fulfill, and claiming will be on a first-come-first-served basis. Our members will have a 24 hour "head start" to make claims before watchers may begin.

Participants will have all of October and November to create their works. All pieces are due by Monday, November 30. Requirements for fic and art are the same as all other months on the comm. Fic must be a minimum of 1,000 words and art must be a finished piece. Both fic and art must merit at least an R rating. No crossovers permitted. Headers and other submission guidelines will come later.

Both members' and watchers' pieces will be posted anonymously throughout December. At this time the names of the wishers/giftees will be revealed, so everyone will get to find out for whom they've written/drawn. Author/artist reveals will be posted in early January.
