All of Hugo's observations regarding James and Al are fantastic here; detailed and intense. "A little bit obsessed" is an understatement. He's exceptionally alert to the tiniest move and gesture. Everything is so subtle, and since it's all from Hugo's not-entirely-objective POV, we can't be completely certain that's it's real and not all in Hugo's head. But it doesn't matter either way, because it's intensely real to Hugo.

It’s an excuse anyone would buy from a Granger-Weasley. It isn't true. It does, however, get him out of the warm embrace of his family, away from prying eyes and hands that never reach in quite the way he wants them to. His mother's understanding fondness is entirely unfounded, which has a thrill all of its own. -- I love that passage; the lyrical writing as well as everything that it subtly says about Hugo.

He casts a locking spell on his door and peels off his Christmas jumper and his shirt, slowly revealing himself to the empty night outside. Sometimes he hopes someone is watching, despite the warded privacy he knows surrounds him. -- And that. It's simultaneously sultry and lonely.

wants to spill like a secret on the floor -- Really nice analogy/imagery.

Ahh, I love that the plug comes as a surprise to the reader halfway through the piece. It gives us a whole new view of the "family gathering" scene from earlier.

Hugo's fantasizing is not only hot, but also very real, the way it starts out precise and designed, then turns more unpredictable and erratic as he progresses. And it takes such a fantastic, lewd turn in the heat of the moment with his spontaneous thought of Harry watching.

That's a really fantastically written orgasm you've created there -- the rhythmic cadence and the increasing pace of it as the climax approaches, then the explosion of hyper-awareness.

The roiling undercurrent of barely-contained UST throughout this is super intense and superbly done. Really, really sexy piece.
