Oooh, I was wondering as I was reading if this would be the impetus for Sirius putting Snape in harm's way -- and you did it at the close! That really, really works for me, having a motivating incident behind that "prank".
Poor Regulus, so passive and *ahem* too pretty for his own good. Sirius was great here, all arrogant nonchalance, but intense caring for his brother. And Snape was a right bastard, and so focused on Sirius despite all his threats toward Regulus. Very hot and intense!
