Waking up with the sharp smell of urine assaulting his nostrils was a very clear sign to Remus that it was going to be one of those days.

The first time it had happened had been a considerable shock, despite the fact that their relationship had never been vanilla and they had often dabbled in that direction. It had led to an awkward conversation about Draco's father, followed by an embarrassing argument about which of them actually had the problem: Draco for volunteering something he needed, or Remus for still being hung up on their age difference.

Fortunately, it had quickly resolved itself into spectacular make-up sex, and the next time it had happened Remus had played along.

It didn't occur all that often, Draco was not comfortable enough with this element of his personality for him to dare indulging it too regularly, but the more that he did the more that Remus realised he had never said a truer thing the night he and Draco had got together: Draco was a brat, and Remus loved it.

"Whoopsie!" Draco clapped his hands over his mouth, unsuccessfully smothering his giggles at how the splash he had caused soaked the front of Remus' shirt.

Remus shook his head and gave Draco a tolerant smile. "You're supposed to be cleaning yourself, not the bathroom in general." He reached for the sponge and poured onto it some of the custom made soap Severus and Harry had gifted them with at Christmas. The fragrant scent of Jasmine mixed with the steam rising from the bath water as Remus took Draco's small hand in his own and began washing the boy's arm.

Draco was going to turn thirty this year, but as he hummed happily under his breath, now and then pushing the boat Remus had conjured about in the water, it was easy to regard him as the boy he had become for the day. His skin was still as pale as it had ever been, and covered in only the lightest hair. Remus rubbed the soapy sponge in small circles over a skinny chest, watching as pink nipples puckered up under his attention.

Draco giggled and squirmed a bit. "Tickles."

"But we need to get you cleaned up," Remus told him, running the sponge down Draco's stomach. "You got all dirty. I thought you were a big boy now, but you still wet the bed."

In the end, he merely sighed, and tottered over to the large leather armchair Remus was sitting in. Remus pretended not to be aware, until a tentative tug on his shirt sleeve made him look up in enquiry and smile at Draco's shy look. Laying down his book, he opened his arms and let Draco crawl onto his lap.

It was these moments that had eased Remus into accepting Draco's strange need, as they had helped him realise a need of his own. Living in Malfoy Manor, existing more off Draco's inheritance than the cursory wage his liaison job brought in, Remus sometimes felt surplus to requirements. It was reassuring and deeply satisfying to know that Draco wanted him to look after him; that his beautiful, wealthy partner was made happy by his care and attention.

"Sleepy?" he asked, smoothing the blond hair he had helped brush that morning back from Draco's youthful face. The firelight picked out the faint stubble Draco had grown since that morning, but it was not heavy enough to dispel the fantasy they were wrapped up in.

"'M not sleepy," Draco said, pouting slightly. "I'm a big boy now. I can stay up as late as I want."

"As late as I let you," Remus corrected. He finished playing with Draco's hair by tucking a strand of it behind the boy's ear, letting his fingers trail down Draco's neck before coming to rest on his chest.

"As late as I want!" Draco insisted. He tried to out-glare Remus, and then suddenly decided to change tactics, smiling as he sweetly offered, "I'll be a good boy if you let me."

Remus narrowed his eyes, though his grin was irrepressible. "How good?"

"Extremely," Draco pronounced confidently. "If you let me stay up..."

"Incorrigible brat," Remus said fondly.

"So I can stay up?"

"So... you can show me how good boys behave."

It was strange how good and bad seemed to switch throughout the day, according to whim, or just how horny they were.
