AL BHED  Al Bhed are extremely similar in appearance to Humes except for one major difference. Their pupils are spiral-shaped with green irises. Most also have only blond or orange colored hair. As a race, they seem almost child-like and very expressive with their emotions and body language. To counter this trait, they are also incredibly industrious, often organizing salvage operations and excavations for ancient technology. They are also one of the only races that have their own language. Recommended classes: Alchemist, Cannoneer, Thief BANGAA  This race is reptile-like, covered with scales, their ears falling below their lengthened muzzles. They come in specific colors, such as yellow-brown, copper, bronze, and ash. Bangaas have both male and females, but it is impossible to tell them apart until they talk. Unlike true reptiles, they are capable of growing facial hair. They are strong and have very fine senses of hearing and smell. They speak in a distinct, guttural voice making it difficult for them to use even the most basic magic. However, few Bangaas have succeeded in becoming expert magicians, using magical formulas specific to their reptilian language. Recommended classes: Berserker, Dragoon, Knight GENOME  This race is similar in appearance to Humes, except for their monkey-like prehensile tails. In Final Fantasy IX, the race was created by Garland as vessels for the souls of Terra. For all intents and purposes, it is simply another race that exists in Crystal Crossover. Perhaps the only other way they differ to Humes is that their looks don't greatly vary from one another, so it can be difficult to tell them apart at times. Recommended classes: Any GRIA  This race is dragon-like in appearance, complete with wings, a tail, and horns. Their hair and skin color are usually pinkish in nature, but other colors aren't uncommon. Gria are more proficient in physical rather than magical attacks in combat. Also they can use their wings to fly, glide, and hover. Recommended classes: Archer, Geomancer, Soldier GUADO  This race is elvish in appearance with long limbs, over-sized hands, and hair resembling plants. Their hair is usually blue or green, though other colors, like orange, are common. Guado typically have serious personalities, and can run incredibly fast. Recommended classes: Bard, Summoner, White Mage HUME  Humes possess all of the same qualities and attributes as normal humans. For this reason, there is no need to go into detail about physical appearance or fighting proficiencies. Recommended classes: Any MOOGLE  This race sports a red ball of fur on a thin, wiry antenna which emerges from their heads, and red or black bat wings. They are also very small in stature and are covered in mostly white fur, though some have black fur trimming their ears. Moogles are very intelligent and industrious, though they may tend to be wary of other races. Another feature is that they often punctuate their sentences with "kupo", as a sort of verbal tic. Recommended classes: Black Mage, Gunner, Thief NEZUMI  This race, also known as Burmecians or Cleyrans from Final Fantasy IX, are rat-like in appearance. The have long snouts, tails, and clawed hands and feet. It is perhaps because of this that many of them do not wear any kind of foot gear. They are also known for their unique architectural style. Recommended classes: Any NU MOU  This race is dog-like in appearance, being very squat with elongated faces and tails. They excel in magic, since their small bodies restrict their physical abilities. Other than that, not much is known about the Nu Mou because they are a very secretive race. Recommended classes: Beastmaster, Geomancer, Time Mage RONSO  This race has cat-like features with blue skin and yellow eyes, but with a long, sharp horn protruding from their foreheads. This horn is usually a sign of strength and pride. They are very tall and amazingly strong, and are known for their strong sense of honor and loyalty, as well as their pride and quickness to anger. Recommended classes: Berserker, Monk, Soldier SEEQ  This race has pig-like features and comes in a variety of colors, the most common being tan or blue. It is virtually impossible to tell the males and females apart, other than temperament and clothing. Most Seeq have tattoos on their bellies which could potentially be a sign of social standing, but no one knows for sure because they are the most looked down upon of all the races. Recommended classes: Gambler, Ranger, Thief VIERA  This race has rabbit-like features, including long ears and supple limbs. They have heightened senses, such as sight, smell, and hearing. Most Viera are gray or brown with dark eyes, yet with various hair colors. Also, Viera are extremely sensitive to the Mist. If they are exposed to too much of it, they will enter a state known as Mist Frenzy. When this happens, an uncontrollable rage takes them over, and they attack anything and anyone in sight. Contrary to popular belief, there are male Viera, but they usually remain separated from the women and only interact when necessary.
