| About: | Welcome to Craft Crazy, the asylum for anyone who loves crafts, and making things by hand. I'm your maintainer/moderator/whatever, feline_scribe. I'm new to IJ, but having found my way here, decided to make myself at home. And I saw there was a lack of craft/crafting asylums. So, I created craft_crazy. Whatever craft you enjoy, you're welcome here. I've tried to list a bunch of crafts in the interests, but if you can think of some to add, please let me know. What can you post here? -- Stories about your crafting experiences, posts about what you're working on right now, what you've made in the past, what you'd like to make in the future. -- Post pics of your completed projects, your works-in-progress, your craft supply box/closet/room/shed/dungeon, that ultra-amazing tool or supply your finally got your hands on, etc. -- Feel free to post reviews of craft books, or magazine, or websites. -- Share tips and tricks for your favorite craft. Or, if you want, make a tutorial about your craft and post it. -- Ask questions about any and every craft, hopefully someone here can offer some ideas! :-) And now I'm going out on a limb, and going to allow something most craft comms don't seem to allow. If you'd like to post about your craft/crafting business, that's ok, too. If you'd like to include a link to a current ebay auction or your Etsy store, that's ok. BUT, you can only add those links at the END of a normal post. That means, you can't make a post just to tell everyone about your latest creations in your Etsy store or whatever. Make a post about your craft, your latest w.i.p.'s, share some pics, etc. Then, if you'd like to leave a link to something your selling at one of those other sites, I'm cool with it. I don't mind helping those trying to make a few bucks from their crafting habit (esp. as it's usually just to fund the buying of supplies for said habit), but I don't want the comm to turn into nothing but people posting about their etsy stores or auctions. And finally, the rules and regulations. Yeah, yeah. Nobody really likes those do they? I'm going to try to keep it really simple: -- As of right now, membership is open, and so is posting access. -- I ask everyone to be respectful and courteous to each other. No snarking/flaming here, please. Anything I deem to be a violation of that rule will result in you being kicked out of/banned from the community. -- Also, I don't expect to see this happen, but please don't claim ownership of anything that isn't yours. (i.e., sure, post pics and your experience with using that popular pattern everyone's raving about from x website or y magazine. But, don't claim it was your original pattern.) -- Generally, use common sense, ok? And, lastly, I don't intend to play "god mod"; I don't have the time or inclination for that. But, in the end, should a situation arise, I'm the mod, and I have final say. Okay, enough of the nasty, boring rules, right?
