Bonjour. I'm Eden, but most people call me Edie anyhow. I don't think I was named after the garden or anything, but maybe I was. Jellybeans and banana pudding make me extraordinarily happy. Valentine's Day does not.

Hi, I'm Logan and I don't think I was named after a garden either. Jellybeans also make me happy but I've never liked banana ever since an unfortunate vomiting incident when I was 14. I do like apple crumble though.

That's unfortunate. I'm not a fan of apples, myself. Maybe it's the name thing.

See, I figure if we're going to be doomed for eating a fruit may as well turn the fruit into a tasty dessert right?

What else would you have been named after? You could just say your mom was a young, wannabe hippie and wanted to rebel against the norm of "Katie".

I just thought naming your daughter after the location of the original temptation and sin might have negative connotations for such bouncing, beautiful baby.

But Eden is infinitely better than Katie.

Baby girl, you were made from Original Sin. Hate to break it to you, but I thought you learned how to count years ago.

Definitely. At least you're not Coco or Apple. Then again, Eden may have been the Pilot Inspektor Lee of the '80s.

I deliberately avoid thinking about the extracurricular activities of my parents, thank you.

Maybe I should name my kid...Clean Linen Air Freshener or Poppy Pomegranate.

You were the one wondering the logic behind your name! Don't blame me.

I like Poppy Pomegranate. You could bottle your kid's fragrances...wait a second, I'm going to be a grandmother?!

I'm pushing you down the stairs. I love you very much, but you're going down those stairs. -With a scarily efficient Mummy Dearest impression- Now try that on your father and see how HE'LL react!

Surely you wouldn't do that to little Poppy Pomegranate!

You're right. Maybe six years ago, I would've. Now I'd just say "like mother, like daughter."

Valentine's day was made for you singer songwriter-y types, poppet. Why on earth has it got you down?

Because either way it is a ridiculous holiday. If you're single, you really don't need a whole day to remind you. You are more than aware. If you're together, expectations get built up that are rarely met, and it's almost an insult to think there should be a special day to show someone you love them. What about the other three hundred and sixty-four?

...not that I've given it much thought..

The only good part about Valentine's Day is that it's so commercial it's almost a crime not to eat chocolate.

Do you prefer the nickname? I always cringe when people try to go for my full name, but then, it's also a mouthful... Jellybeans should be their own food group, I think.

It doesn't really matter to me. I've answered to them both for as long as I can remember. And I think you're right about jellybeans.

That makes things easier, at least. I tend to worry a lot because I don't want to call people something they inwardly dislike but are too polite to mention. I stock up on all the specialty kinds during Easter, I love it.

Hello, Eden, I'm Lenora. I've been on a bit of a Skittles kick lately though I can't figure out why, and I think jellybeans would be a much better addiction to have. As to that day, I usually try to pretend it doesn't exist.

Those really are good, but I think I like the green ones the most when they're green apple instead of the usual lime. Green apple always, always gets me.

I'm not a green apple fan...unless we're talking Jolly Ranchers or Blow Pops.
