"For some reason the idea of being your friend, in that tone, doesn't fill be with confidence." MacNair told him, very much aware of the werewolf's dislike for the ministry and all it's employees. It was a machine that MacNair disliked too, although he did not dislike the monthly cheques on ministry paper. Werewolf society and human society were different though, and while Fenrir's pack needed him as figure-head, the sprawling mass of wizarding Britain needed the red-tape laden, ineffectual and down-right old-fashioned workings of the ministry for it's daily bread and butter. Without the Ministry, wizarding Britain would fall into chaos. Of course, Fenrir would know that and Fenrir was the sort to want chaos rather than the human order of things, because in chaos he could thrive.
The growl at least didn't surprise him, he'd expected that sort of reaction from his comments, in truth, he'd been angling for some sort of anger from the other. "No, I doubted you'd let me rent him from you. Besides, it would be too much like hard work to save him from the centaurs when they're feisty." He said with a shrug, "Besides, Ministry hasn't come to a decision about Centaur culls as yet. Need to wait for the bloody enquiry. And it took them two years to decide you were dangerous and had to be hunted down, and you're a fucking werewolf. No offence meant." He added, a smirk pulling at his lips. "I'm here for something else."
"Are you pulling him out of school?" MacNair asked, a small grin to his face and it was clear that he meant was Fenrir going to add him to the pack. "Never mind the first werewolf in the school, now, seeing his graduate Hogwarts, that would be history. Maybe they'd even start letting you in for night classes." He said, then paused, thinking the subject through for the first time. There was no way a werewolf would be at school and Dumbledore be unaware of the fact. A pity, as it would have allowed for a lot of mischief, but... well, he didn't doubt that smuggling the werewolf cub out would be difficult, but a strong enough stupify charm might do the job...
