As he continued, she pushed him playfully. "I've always thought myself to not quite be a member of the "fairer sex" but rather the dominant sort." She felt like pushing him again, even pressing him against the walls- roughing him up a bit to prove a point, delighting in the fact he wouldn't argue or fight back. To kiss a bloodied lip would surely be intoxicating. To lay hands on him at all would be sheer ecstasy.
"What a rude creature," she said at the change of subject, "Perhaps you should have it killed?" Owls were possessions and if a pair of shoes ever dared to bite Bella's toes- she'd surely have them thrown out, discarded in the most atrocious way. Using her hand to push the hair from his eyes, she heaved a heavy sigh- obvious evidence of her impatience at being untrusted. "I understand, naturally, my love," she said finally, "And such behavior is only expected from the eldest, I know." She herself had been doing the exact same thing, checking in with dear Mum over nothing in particular. "Just know I will always be loyal to you and that entails keeping any supposed secrets."
