Characters: Rosmerta and OPEN Setting: The Three Broomsticks Content: Worksafe Summary: Ros is hanging around.
Ros had gotten the last bits of dirt and grime out of the rooms that she rented out. Having an inn connected to her pub really was a good thing. Sure, one of the rooms on the first floor was her's, but it felt good to be in charge of all of that. She was amazed that she was making profit on what she was doing. She'd had a few people rent the rooms that she'd gotten cleaned out first, and now that she had them all habitable, she was sure that she'd have more people who chose to stay there. Hogsmeade was a great place to go for a bit of a rest and relaxation if you came when there wasn't a Hogwarts visit.
Rosmerta couldn't complain about Hogwarts, though. It had been her home away from home for seven years of her life and she had spent a lot of good times there. That and Hogwarts student made up part of her biggest portion of customers. They definitely weren't bad for business that was certain. Ros wished that the Hogsmeade visits were closer and there were more of them, but she wasn't working at the school. She couldn't change anything. Wishing wouldn't get her anywhere.
Instead of letting her thoughts continue to run through her head, the barmaid made rounds, getting one or two patronages new butterbeers and then fetching some firewhiskey for an older man. It wasn't always exciting, but it was her's and she'd own up to it any day. After making the rounds, Ros set about to wipe down the counter. This place was her's and she was definitely proud of it, as she should be.
