I was beginning to wonder when you would indulge me with a reply. There was a time when you would rush to reply to me, not put it off.
I am glad to hear my nieces are settled back into school. I shall be paying a visit next week, the first Official Governors Inspection of the year, and I would be happy to carry any messages you may have. The messages you send to your loved ones are always so motivating, after all.
Sirius will improve. If not for his own sake, I hope for the sake of your dear sister who is at her wit's end with him. I myself have been half tempted to raise a hand to him- Abraxas Malfoy may be nouveau riche but he has raised a son who respects both him and their family name. I do worry there is too much of your brother in him.
Sometimes I wish we had had a daughter as well as the boys. A daughter as well mannered as yours and no doubt like her mother but able to keep Sirius in line. Alas for roads untravelled, and we all have a great deal of those. At least Regulus is a son we can depend on.
I hope you enjoyed your dinner. Walburga and I are going to have a quiet evening in and thank Merlin that term has started again.
