Basil's head had been in the clouds, his attention wandering. The castle was a wonderful place for day-dreaming, examining all the little changes that had taken place over the summer. For instance, in the last few hours he had noticed the rugs in his dorm room had been changed since last year, the portraits moved about, and, although he wasn't sure exactly how it had been achieved, but he was sure the ceiling in the common room had been lowered too, although only by a few inches. He was gazing up at it now, head tilted upwards, when he heard the female voice call his name.
He looked around, grin spreading from ear to ear, "A reading, really? Really really?" He said as he bounded across the room, climbing over some of the sofas and comfortable chairs in an effort to met her half way across the room. "Can I go first? Please? You know the reading before summer when you said that the tea-leaves said that something odd would happen over summer? Something odd did happen over summer but mum said it wasn't really all that odd, but I think it was strange anyway." He said excitedly, smile still wide. "What did you do over summer, Billy?"
