Taking things delicately, that was Remus’ area of expertise. If James needed to work through whatever was bothering him before expressing it, he could wait as long as it took. "I wasn’t aware that she knew sign language. Was it difficult to follow?" It was an admirable skill to learn, something he’d take note of to mention to her in the future. The fact that James was taking an interest in learning was especially encouraging, and he smiled for it in a friendly manner. "If she’s offering to tutor, we should both go. Maybe even ask Peter and Sirius to join – it can’t hurt to learn, by any means."
Really, he could talk endlessly about nothing at all. Not to say that this was particularly in the category of nothing – just that it wasn’t the root of why they were speaking, of all places, on the grounds of Hogwarts at night. Which was rather mad in the first place when he allowed himself to consider it.
His concern was back full force, though he kept it marginally to himself.
