WHO: Stefan Salvatore WHEN: WHERE: 407 A RATING: TBD STATUS: In Progress
Stefan looked down at the PDA as it buzzed, surprised to see his housing assignment. As much as he led her and everyone else to believe, he truly had no interest in Elena.
She was the constant annoying reminder of something he could no longer understand. He still had the memories of their time together, but something wasn't exactly the same. He just didn't feel anything towards her. She was beautiful, of course. But those feelings, that love he had for her, the devotion, even the desire to be with her, all of it had been stripped away.
Now all that lingered were the memories, mere echoes of what he should have felt, how he should have been.
As he approached the correct building he slowed. He knew he was going to be sharing what looked like a small apartment with her, but he couldn't help being on alert. Everyone seemed to be protective of Elena and while there use to be a time when he would feel the same, he wasn't exactly thrilled that they might attack him in hopes of eliminating a threat.
He knew he had gone too far on the bridge. He had told Elena he had been bluffing, but in truth, he hadn't been. He knew he would have taken that risk, had Klaus not taken the bait. Elena's cries were filled with sheer terror as he sped along the long winding road and he had been ripped from that realm just after the incident.
He entered the small apartment, looking around he took in his surroundings.
"Home sweet home." He said sarcastically.
He didn't sense anyone was in the apartment. As he stuck his head into the first bedroom, he discovered it to be the one Elena had been using. It was empty and he shut the door quietly behind him before moving along to the next room. The room was tidy and it certainly wasn't the worst place he had ever stayed before.
