Who: House and L What: Wandering Where: Streets of town When: This evening Warnings: Someone's grumpy. Will update, if necessary.
House had decided he didn't want to work, in this new town, this new life. He'd fallen in to this alternate universe when there was no sound. If the powers that be could forbid sound, he could avoid work. Seemed reasonable. Excepting that he was bored out of his mind, and climbing the walls, after only a few days. That was the biggest problem, when he didn't work. And boredom did not suit him, because it gave him too much time to think, and too much free time and empty space to do things to amuse him.
Like build a house of cards. How pathetic was that? He'd focused on it for hours, and that was time well wasted, at least he wasn't burning the city down. But he had grown tired of it, had destroyed it, and had gone out, leaving his door unlocked, half hoping someone would bother to break in and steal his things, so that he'd have something to do in looking for the burglar, though that wasn't his usual type of puzzle, at least it was something.
For the moment, he was humming to himself, walking along the side of the street, rather than the sidewalk. He had his iPod, now that it worked again, soft jazz music feeding into his ears, blocking out all other sounds, as he made his way through town.
