WHO: Tracy Strauss and OPEN
WHAT: Exploring. Thinking. Just some typical 'new arrival' type stuff, really.
WHEN: Not long after she first shows up.
WHERE: The large lake on the southwest side of the city.
RATING: TBD (although Tracy does have a bit of a mouth on her)
STATUS: In Progress
Tracy stood at the water's edge, watching as the smooth, liquid surface ebbed and flowed against the shore. The smell of water - unfiltered, non-salted, and natural - seemed to serve as a balm to her frazzled nerves. The knowledge that she could easily join it in a way that no other could, become a part of it until she wasn't sure where she ended and it began, made her feel a little less trapped, too.
Unfortunately, the feeling didn't last for too long and Tracy wasn't in any hurry to actually turn into a liquid state at the moment. This had far more to do with the fact that she found it tricky to make her clothing change with her, however, than any other reason. The last thing she wanted was to come back to shore, nude, and find a bus of kids playing on the banks or something. So she simply stood near the edge. A light wind lifted her blond hair slightly from her shoulders and caused small chill bumps to prickle their way across her arms. Yet she paid little attention to these things. Simply stared out at the water and allowed her thoughts to drift much as the small bits of twigs and leaves drifted along the current before her.
Danko was here. He was alive. The part of her life that had been about vengeance, that had been saving that particular son-of-a-bitch for last, was itching to regain control over her. A good part of her wanted to simply hunt him down and kill him as he'd tried and, in a way, succeeded in killing her. Yet another part of her was disturbed at the deaths she'd already committed in the name of retribution and truly wanted to do what she'd decided back in Washington. Help people. Make a difference. A real difference.
She wasn't sure she could do that here, however. Yes there was a government in place, but it was run by the locals. Tracy didn't know any of them. She actually didn't know many people who were trapped her as she was, either. It was both a blessing and, in this case, a bit of a curse. It was hard to call in favors and make deals if you were a new face on the scene. Which meant that she needed to get home, and had a feeling that much like everything in her life lately water was going to provide the solution to that particular problem.
The sound of someone behind her caused her thoughts to stop short. Back straight, body tensing ever so slightly, she half-turned and glanced back to see who it was.
