Mass Texts to John Watson, Irene Adler, Molly Hooper, Mycroft Holmes, Mac Taylor, & Nathan Wuornos
There are five rather angry gunmen following me.

[ a few seconds later ]
Four

[ a minute later ]
Three

[ a few seconds later ]
Two, but one looks like he's considering running away.

[ immediately after that ]
And he did.

[ a few seconds later ]
Wuornos, you might want to send a unit to 7th street. There's a bit of a mess to clean up.

Did you mean to send this to me?

[a moment later]
I mean I'm glad you're all right.

[just after that]
Oh good a mess.

[immediately after]
I didn't mean that!

[a moment after]
I just meant that I was a little bored.

[a second after that]
I'm glad to work.

[immediately after]
Did you find out what they wanted?

Of course.

[ a few seconds later ]
And it seems I was a target. They're remarkably tight lipped on whose.

[ immediately after that ]
At least, the one still capable of speech is.

[ a few seconds later ]
And there's no sense in correcting yourself, Molly. Unfortunately, I think only one of them is dead.

That can't be a coincidence.

[a second later]
All of those animals disappeared and now people are being attacked by things.

[a moment or two after that]
Well at least I'll be slightly less bored for a while.

Particularly if the attacks continue to get more active.

[ a few seconds later ]
This place certainly knows how to keep a person busy.

[ immediately after ]
At least I can finally stop borrowing John's jumpers.

Maybe I should stay inside.

[a couple of moments after that]
I'm glad that it does keep us busy really.

[a bit after that]
I can't really imagine you in John's jumpers.

[immediately after that]
That's quite a funny mental image.

That might be for the best.

[ a few seconds later ]
Though, it seems that things are popping up indoors as well.

[ immediately after ]
They were rather irritating. Far too short. My stomach kept getting cold.

[ a few seconds later ]
But they were the only option available. My buttons decided to go on strike.

Indoors it is then.

[a moment after]
Perhaps it's just best to carry on as normally as possible then.

[a bit after that]
Buttons on strike? I can't imagine why they'd do that.

[a second later]
Still the funniest thing I've heard all day. Thank you.

Of course. If we let this get to us, our captor wins.

[ a few seconds later ]
They said my shirts were two sizes too small, and they weren't willing to take the strain any longer.

[ immediately after that ]
My shirts are not too small.

[ a few seconds after Molly's last ]
But I'm glad you were amused, at least.

Right. Quite normal.

[a bit after that]
They did? That's um. Well.

[a second after that]
They might be a little too small, Sherlock.

[immediately after]
Not that I you know look or I mean it's just that you.

[immediately after that]
Sorry, shutting up.

Well maybe a little tiny bit.

[a second or two after]
Not that there's anything wrong with that.

[a moment after that]
They're not as bad as John's jumpers, I'm sure.

Unlike John's jumpers, they cover everything vital.

Speaking of John. Did you two have a good evening?

[sent after Sherlock's last]
Not Wuornos. Glad to know what crime scene to avoid when the call comes in, though.

[immediately after]
Now. Dare I ask why you were being followed by five angry gunmen?

That's what I'd like to know.

[ a few seconds later ]
All I managed to get out of the last guy was that I was their target.

[ immediately after ]
Not exactly a new experience, but usually I have some idea of who and why.

If I had to wager a guess, I'd say the who is Asaph and the why is because he's bored. The entire city seems to be plagued with things like this at the moment.

[a few seconds later]
Case in point. I just had to dodge a giant, swinging pendulum covered in spikes that appeared in the middle of my crime lab.

A swinging pendulum?

[ a few seconds later ]
What is this, Poe? There is no reason for a pendulum to randomly appear in the middle of a crime lab. Some consistency in these events would be appreciated.

[ immediately after ]
Do you know if he takes performance notes?

Whatever for, Sherlock? This has certainly improved an afternoon that would otherwise have been spent in rather tedious meetings with mindless locals.

And I yours. But seeing as mine have already been taken care of, and you've not yet encountered any (I can presume?), it seems as though we're both at a bit of a loose end, time wise.
