Previous Entry  Add to memories!  Tell a Friend!  Next Entry
A poll of the respond-in-comments-with-your-opinions assortment:
Would you like me to start logging these recipe entries in some way for easy look-up access, or is there little-to-no interest in that?

that would be great :-)

That sounds like a great idea. You could do it by tags. Or have a sort of "masterlist of drink mixes" and sort them alphabetically or, possibly, by alcoholic and non-alcoholic and then, for the alcoholic ones, by primary alcohol. You could also do something like this with the memories as well. Anyway you do it, it sounds like a really great idea to me.

Tags would be awesome. Maybe do something like tags for drink name, type of drink, primary liquor(s)/ingredient(s), and flavor? Something along the lines of:

drink: daquiri
type: frozen cocktail
liquor: rum
flavor: sweet

But that may be more work than you want to do. Just throwing an idea out there. :)

I'd be willing to do it if people wanted me to.
I just haven't done tags before. >_>

They're pretty easy to use. There're two ways to create and manage tags as a community maintainer:

1. Add tags manually after each entry. In that box on the top of an entry, click on the third button and then you can type in the tags that fit the entry. Once a tag has been added, members can select that tag for their own entries if it fits. Members can also tag each other's entries.

2. Click on Journal > Manage Tags, then use the dropdown box to change to the community. Type in all of the tags that you think the community will need. Then when members make a new entry, they can select the applicable tags for their entry. You can also add new ones either manually or through the Manage Tags console whenever you need them.

Hope that helps. Let me know if you have any questions. :)
