My application is the best!
The Basics
Name: Ellen
Age range (13-15, 16-19, 20-24, 25+): 25+
Favorite character: Severus Snape. Cant explain it. Must be that dark, mysterious bastard image he's got going that appeals to the "Oh but I know I can change him" womanly side of me.
Least favorite character: Dolores Umbridge. I like her even less after seeing the latest movie. That annoying giggle/laugh thingy she kept doing was driving me crazy. And don't get me started on the kitten plates.
Favorite Non-Harry Potter related fandom: Final Fantasy VIII, Doctor Who, Star Trek
What is your pet peeve?: Arrogant, holier than though kind of people who is convinced they know it all and they are always right, and you are nothing but stupidity come to life.
The Deeper Stuff
Five years from now you are diagnosed with a terminal illness. It can be cured by a single pill that costs $5,000 dollars and is not covered by insurance. How would you go about getting the medication? I would buy it. Probably with money loaned to me from my family, who would not want it back, since its family and they would want me alive and they know I would do the same for them...if I had that kind of money that is.
Your house is burning down - all people and pets are out safely. You are able to save one item. What is it and why?
My little silver Ankh necklace that my grandmother gave to me before she passed away. She bought it to me on a trip to Scotland and she was really proud of having bought me such a perfect gift. I love the Ankh symbol and I love the necklace even more because it was a gift from my dear granny.
You find a wallet in a parking lot. It has $1,000 dollars cash in it and a driver's license. You look at the license and realize it belongs to a co-worker you speak to on a daily basis. What do you do? I call my co-worker and tell him/her that I have the wallet and to not to worry. I give it back the first chance I have. With all the money intact. I wouldn't have dared take the money as I wouldn't have been able to stop worrying about getting caught.
You've been given $100,000 dollars. If you can use it all within one hour you will be given one million dollars. What do you do?
I buy an expensive virtual Island in any new and upcoming on-line game, most probably on ebay, and then I would sell it off for profit later on, also most probably on ebay.
You see a famous person in the lobby of a busy movie theatre and no one else has noticed him/her. What do you do?
I try to make friends with the person, only to fail miserably and then find my self walking home with the revelations that things are not like in the movies and no, I wasn't discovered as the newest, brightest talent this time either.
You come upon a wishing well and toss a coin in to make a wish. Your wish is granted. What did you wish for?
A cure for my mothers cancer.
You're 70 years old and writing your autobiography. What is the title and why would people read it?
"How to not live your life" because you wouldn't want to make the same mistakes I did.
You have been gifted with the chance to actually perform a magical spell. In front of you stands your greatest love, your worst enemy, and a pile of inanimate objects ready to be used in your spell. Which spell do you allow yourself to use and why have you chosen that spell? I would use a spell to turn my worst enemy into my best friend. You the loving, kind and understanding type that totally gets the fact that you would want to spend time with the love of your life on a regular basis. Friends like that are gold.
You find a magic lamp, rub it, and out pops a Genie. You are given the chance to relive and change one experience in your past. What do you change (if any) and why?
I don't think I would want to change anything really. That would be like changing me and who I am, and I am quite happy with who I am today. I am the sum of my experiences.
