My Application Is the Best! (Yeah, I know, s'what everyone says...)
The Basics
Name: Tara
Age range (13-15, 16-19, 20-24, 25+): 20-24
Favorite character: I would probably say Severus Snape or Sirius Black (yeah, complete opposites, I know)
Least favorite character: Umbridge is a good contender - despise that woman, as is natural. Scrimgouer, too, probably. There's pretty much at least something I like about most of the other characters, if only a rich background, but when it comes to him I can't really see anything but "obnoxious pain in the ass" written on his forehead. Mrs. Weasley irritates the hell out of me as well, at times.
Favorite Non-Harry Potter related fandom: Pirates of the Caribbean and Buffy the Vampire Slayer sort of tie, there. Phantom of the Opera (book-related) shoves itself in there as well. So does Batman, every once and a while...
What is your pet peeve?: Blatant ignorence. And bad grammar.
The Deeper Stuff
Five years from now you are diagnosed with a terminal illness. It can be cured by a single pill that costs $5,000 dollars and is not covered by insurance. How would you go about getting the medication?
Well, that would depend. There's so many variables. Object A - work quite a lot and earn the money, if the illness allows it. If not, Object B - play up the sympathy card and hope someone cares enough to buy it for me or loan me the money. Talk shows and such are good for that - write to someone and whine eloquently.
Your house is burning down - all people and pets are out safely. You are able to save one item. What is it and why?
My computer. Everything that really matters is stored on this hard-drive and even if the monitor burned, I'd take the computer itself.
You find a wallet in a parking lot. It has $1,000 dollars cash in it and a driver's license. You look at the license and realize it belongs to a co-worker you speak to on a daily basis. What do you do?
That's a toughy, actually. I mean, I could bring it back and say it was empty when I found it, but really, it would depend on the person, how much I like them, how much they trust me, and if I desperately needed money for some reason. In the end I'd probably give it back, because I wouldn't want to feel guilty, but - again, variables are a killer.
You've been given $100,000 dollars. If you can use it all within one hour you will be given one million dollars. What do you do?
Need details. Do I get a full one million dollars, is there tax taken out, how much, who's giving me the money, why am I getting the money of all people, etc. But in the end? One word: expensive shopping. Even if I'm gypped for some reason, I still get to keep all the stuff I bought.
You see a famous person in the lobby of a busy movie theater and no one else has noticed him/her. What do you do?
Depends who it is. If no one's noticed, don't draw attention to them. Particularly if it's an attractive male celebrity - fangirl attacks are killer. If I happen to be a fan, I might accidentally bump into them for my own purposes, but I'm not cruel enough to squeel and draw them into a pack of wolves.
You come upon a wishing well and toss a coin in to make a wish. Your wish is granted. What did you wish for?
An all detail-specified way to transport into and out of different time periods and fictional dimensions.
You're 70 years old and writing your autobiography. What is the title and why would people read it?
"Sanity Is Vastly Over-rated" See title
You have been gifted with the chance to actually perform a magical spell. In front of you stands your greatest love, your worst enemy, and a pile of inanimate objects ready to be used in your spell. Which spell do you allow yourself to use and why have you chosen that spell?
Wow, vague. Greatest love, worst enemy, inanimate magical objects. Well, see, this depends on variables as well (Yes, I think too much.) Does the love love me back? Is the enemy a danger to my person? Are the inanimate objects actually useful or was someone up there cruel and gifted me with rubber chickens and banana cream pies? Assuming, for my own purposes, that my greatest love does not in fact love me back and my enemy is a threat to my person, I suppose the spell would be irrelevent, so long as I could solve both problems and with the use of whatever inanimate objects are around. But...if we're going my own personal existance, then my greatest love does love me back and my enemy is a threat to my person, still. So...why not just complicate the spell with the love's assitance and destroy the enemy? This is too confusing...
You find a magic lamp, rub it, and out pops a Genie. You are given the chance to relive and change one experience in your past. What do you change (if any) and why?
Certain people which I trusted and shouldn't have.
