What: Yuugi's going to look for Sasuke, only to run into someone else instead
When:Sometime after Sasuke's last journal entry here
Where: Wing B, somewhere between floors 2 and 4
Warnings: Violence, probably. Others will added as needed XD

Yuugi tread lightly through the hallways as he made his way down towards Sasuke's room. The other boy had worried him when he hadn't responded to his post and with the current curse that was going around... At least Sasuke had finally posted something of his own. That offset the worry a little.

He sighed. Sasuke probably wouldn't want him around either once he fully realized that Yuugi had been cursed as well. Though, the other hadn't reacted negatively when Yuugi had all but told him he was currently a vampire as well, even inviting him down to his room, but Yuugi wasn't sure just how much 'with it' Sasuke had been, considering what the boy had been through his second death in less than a month.

He didn't realize someone else was around until he almost bumped into him. He raised his head to apologize, but froze as he saw who it was.

He'd been making use of the 'bloodbank' for the past week no thanks to the part of his mind that had retreated when the curse hit. While Malik had never cared much for the dark, his other half loved it and the current curse was right up its alley. The downside was that he had to listen to the mental nagging of the cowering personality... and because of that, hunting was a bit difficult.

It was the third time that day that he'd attempted to find something that wasn't pre-packaged, and it would probably be the third time he failed to do so. The Egyptian didn't know why he was craving free-range food; as a general rule, he always had been and always would be very much a vegetarian. He was so engrossed in pondering that mystery that he almost didn't notice the rather short spiky-haired teen coming down the hallway until the boy had nearly bumped into him.

A cruel grin spread across his face, lavender eyes narrowing sharply. His day had just gone from bad to quite lovely in a matter of moments. "Well, well, well. And where might you be off to in such a hurry?"

Yuugi took a step back, his eyes locked on the person in front of him.

Of all the people to bump into during this curse, this was probably the one he wanted to see the least. Not that he didn't like Malik-kun, but his other... Yuugi had hoped to put off this encounter until he could figure out what to do about the fact that Mou Hitori no Boku wasn't here, but it seemed that was not meant to be.

"Nowhere. Just wanted to get out." Yuugi answered, shrugging noncommittally. There was no way that he was going to admit to the other where he was going. He wasn't going to give Malik's other something else to use against him. Not if he could help it.

Just think of it as one big game. You're good at those.

A wicked grin lit up his face. If Yuugi wasn't going anywhere in particular, then there was no one to worry if he went missing. "All by yourself? It's dangerous to go out alone," he purred, "Something could happen to a little boy like yourself if he's wandering around without protection."

He was eternally grateful to the closet for giving him the Sennen Rod, and the lovely blade was still nice and sharp. One hand slid behind his back, fingers wrapping around the metal. Oh no, this boy would regret not giving him what he wanted when he'd asked so nicely before... and if it took making him look like he was being prepped for embalming, then so be it.

Yuugi bristled at being at being called a "little boy", but bit his tongue. He didn't want to provoke the other if he could help it, though, he had a feeling that it was going to happen anyway, whether he meant to do it or not.

"If I had known I was going to need a bodyguard, I would have asked for one before leaving my room," he said, annoyed. He hated the fact that everyone seemed to think that because he was short, he was helpless.

Yuugi watched him warily, knowing better than to trust him. He'd seen what the other Malik had done to Mai and Jounouchi during Battle City and what he had almost done to himself and Malik before the end of the Battle City finals.

And he knew, in the back of his mind, that he really couldn't know what to expect, considering what this curse had done to them. While he, himself, never thought to check and see if he got anything extra other than the hunger, he was pretty sure that the other Malik did.
